If Brian Bond wasn't involved, this would not have ever happened. I hoping he runs for Selectmen

Instead of being such a pessimist why don't you volunteer to be a monitor at the park. When left alone unfortunatly there have alway been a few kids that ruin it for everyone else. Perhaps you could donate a camera that could monitor the park when no one is there. Try being an optimist for a change.

I watched the Selectmens meeting tonight and Joe DeRocco and James O'Loughlin want to name the park after two previous firefighters. I like the idea but what gets me is these two guys fought against this project from the beginning now the ride in on white horses to name the park. Shame on both of you. Next time you want to steal the lime light at least do the work

I didn't vote for Bond last May but after watching him for the past few months or so I'll vote for him in a second. He's truly a Man of Action

I agree. We need police to remain in the parks. If the kids act up taser them and arrest them. We need a new law...any kid caught breaking park property should go to juvenile jail until the age of 17 and then to prison. Their parents MUST pay for all repairs. If two kids from one family are found guilty the parents should be forced to sell their home and move out of Dracut.

The police reserve the right to shoot to stop to defend themselves against armed teens.

Some may think I am kidding but I am not.

The problem with Lowell and Dracut is the young people. It is the "idiot generation".

I have to constantly deal with teens in my neighborhood causing trouble , parents dont care as long as they hang out out of their sight ... destructive little vandels , theives , loiteres , tresspassers , why do i need to deal with this ?
If mike J wants to be an optimist , it may get him to be a victem . My security cameras watch my house , not parks . good luck getting the police to patroll a park , lol .

One of the problems with the skate park was hood rats from Lowell go to it. Not saying Dracut kids are inocent, but hopefully this park will fair better. As far a police patroling, I live off Nashua Road and the police are there all the time running radar - I'm sure the park will be well monitored. At least lights were factored in this time instead of kitchen table promises that there wouldn't be any like at Veteran's park.

Total waste of money. My taxes go up every year. How about doing something for the people that pay the bills?

I was up at York Beach, Maine recently and the sweet kids from Dracut had spray painted a ton of the rocks "Dracut HS" next to the Nubble Lighthouse. Plenty of white trash and spoiled kids with money can be found in Dracut. They have their parents fooled.

That has been there for years! I saw that painted there many years ago.
BTW- I wonder if Dracut would ever consider adding a dog park to this or any other area of town. Just a thought.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Leo

If there have been slight tensions or frictions between you and a loved one recently, this is the perfect day to get them out into the open, thrash them out and then forget about them. Things could get quite heated in the process but don't worry because they'll work out all right in the end. Put as much energy into kissing and making up as you did in arguing!
