Many today have lost faith in a Creator. why do you think that is?
One possible reason is found at Habakkuk 1:2, 3. It says:"How long, O Jehovah, must I cry for help, and you do not hear? How long shall I call to you for aid from violence, and you do not save? Why is it that you make me see what is hurtful, and you keep looking upon mere trouble? And why are despoiling and violence in front of me, and why does quarreling occur, and why is strife carried?" Have you ever felt this way? |

Never in the creator only in people. For many its very easy to get caught up in what our society dictates is wrong from right.
I'm in no way perfect but I do try to make amends with my imperfection by trying to correct them the best way I know how. God knows I've had alot of hits and misses. I think alot of the despoiling and violence is due to lack of compassion for others. |

I agree totally about the lack of compassion people have for each other today. Do you think God cares that things are this way. Do you think he will forever look the other way? |

I believe he expects it from less then perfect creatures.I can't concieve of him looking the other way if anything I believe he will always shroud us with the his devine presence. Its up to us as individuals to seek him, believe in him and glorify his majesty.

Evidently you are a person who believes in God. You seem to believe that God is a almighty, loving, and wise Father. This being said, he must have some good reasons for permitting suffering. Are you aware of the fact that the Bible shows what those reasons are?(just wondering) I agree that God will help us to get through whatever obstacles we may face. He can grant us the wisdom to cope "with various trials." (James 1:2-5) A shepherd uses his rod or staff not only to ward off predators but also to nudge his sheep in the right direction. The Creator can "nudge" us, perhaps by means of a fellow worshipper, to apply Bible-based counsel that may make a big difference in our situation. In addition, Jehovah can give us the strength to endure.(Philippians 4:13) By means of his holy spirit, he can equip us with "power beyond what is normal." (2 Corinthians 4:7) God’s spirit can enable us to endure any test that Satan might bring upon us.(1 Corinthians 10:13) It is comforting to know that God is ever ready to help us? |

I'm sorry but I've never taken the opportunity to read over the bible but could you please tell me where it could be found and exactly what those reasons are?
You seem like a man of faith. I ask if you could please say a prayer for my son and his division who are serving in the US Navy and enduring alot of hardship. His chief seems to take his job to the extremes and shows little leadership skills and demands too much of him and his division. My son volunteered to serve because he was proud to serve his country and it seems everything that he was promised were just mere tactics to fill a quota. I don't think people realize just what great obstacles these young men and women must face on a daily bases just to survive. So if you could please find me the appropriate prayer to help my son and the young men and women who serve our nation who have to overcome the mental and phsyical obstacles they may have to face day to day. Please, hang in there son I know they'll do everything in there power to push you to the breaking point so you'll quit. |

I always just pray from the heart. The Bible says: "Jehovah is near to all those calling upon him, to all those who call upon him in trueness. The desire of those fearing him he will perform, and their cry for help he will hear." (Psalm 145:18, 19) Just think of what that means! The almighty Creator is near to us and will hear us if we call upon him in trueness. The Bible explains: "No matter what it is that we ask according to his will, God hears us." (1 John 5:14) So we may pray for anything that is in harmony with God’s will. We may speak openly,‘pouring out our heart’ to God.(Psalm 62:8) David begins a prayer with the plea: "O God, to deliver me, O Jehovah, to my assistance do make haste." (Psalm 70:1) When in distress, we can pray that God quickly come to our assistance. God does not try us with evil things, and he "knows how to deliver people of godly devotion out of trial." (2 Peter 2:9; James 1:13) But what if he permits a trial to continue, perhaps to teach us something? Then we can ask him for wisdom to deal with it. God will give us the strength |

When Satan led Adam and Eve into disobeying God, an important question was raised. Satan did not call into question the Creator's power. Even Satan knows that there is no limit to God’s power. Rather, Satan questioned God’s right to rule. By calling God a liar who withholds good from his subjects, Satan charged that the Creator is a bad ruler.(Genesis 3:2-5) Satan implied that mankind would be better off without God’s rulership. This was an attack on God’s sovereignty, his right to rule. Adam and Eve rebelled against God. In effect, they said: "We do not need Jehovah, God as our Ruler. We can decide for ourselves what is right and what is wrong." How could the issue be settle? Someone might say that God should simply have destroyed the rebels and made a fresh start. But he had stated his purpose to fill the earth with the offspring of Adam and Eve, and he wanted them to live in an earthly paradise.(Genesis 1:28) Besides that, getting rid of the rebels in Eden would not have answered the question that had been raised regarding God's right to rule.And also remember that millions of angels were watching.(Job 38:7; Daniel 7:10) How Jehovah handled the rebellion would greatly affect all those angels and eventually all intelligent creation. So, what has the Creator done? He has allowed Satan to show how he would rule mankind. God has also allowed humans to govern themselves under Satan’s guidance. All honesthearted benefit from seeing that Satan and his fellow rebels have failed and that humans cannot govern themselves. Like Jeremiah of old, they will learn this vital truth: "I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step."—Jeremiah 10:23. So time was needed to settle this issue; however, according to the Bible The Creator will not forever allow the earth to be filled with wickedness. Soon his son will end human suffering. Did you know that the Bible explains how this will happen? |

By the way the forum named me reader when I wasn't looking. For figure that one out :). Just wondering how long your son has been in the US Navy? And where is he stationed. |
||||
I don't want to give away too much information incase there might be some kind of retribution acted upon him. I just think its important to address some of the internal problems that may need some oversight and adjustments. The amount of time hes been in has nothing to do with what is happening. Theres something more sinister behind it which I cannot get into details about. Lets just say I fear for his safety and well being. |
||||
Yes I understand completely. Hope everything works out for him. The problems facing mankind today cannot be lastingly solved by just one nation; they require complete international cooperation. But selfish interest prevent that and also seriously hinder any real cooperation among the various organizations within nations. My belief is that the answer to the problems of corruption and oppression will come from God's Government. Dan. 2:44: "The God of heaven will set up a kingdom (government) that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite" Jesus concern for people when he was on earth -his healing them, feeding multitudes, even laying down his life for them - shows that he will truly be the kind of ruler foretold at Ps. 72:12-14: "He (Jesus, Christ) will deliver the poor one crying for help, also the afflicted one and whoever has no helper. He will feel sorry for the lowly one and the poor one, and the souls of the poor ones he will save. From oppression and from violence he will redeem their soul, and their blook will be precious in his eyes." The Bible shows that the time when Jesus will step in and solve mankinds problems is very close. Is that a new thought to you. Most people are familiar with the prophecies about the Last Days; however, they don't spend much time thinking about what blessing that is really going to bring to mankind. |
