Task force makes 14 arrests

Drug investigators from York City Police, state police and the county's Drug Task Force arrested 14 people for drug offenses and other charges over the past two weeks, according to York City Detective First Class Andrew Shaffer.

the peddlers are like roaches in york ..there everywhere ...s. queen & college...duke & maple...george and south st...pershing &lafayette...cleveland and boundary..south st & queen...princess & duke..penn & college..newberry and north...what don't the city police know??? everyone else does...thats just some of the better selling areas....

I don't know about Florida real estate but I wish someone would arrange a short class on York PA geography so that some of the more blatant mistakes could get picked up by the YDR before publication. 14 arrests is a nice continuation of the recent trend of drug arrests in our city and it seems like the police have been focusing on higher level dealers which is always good.

Wow ! Lol ! Come on, gimme a break already. Did anyone else notice the small dollar amounts of drugs seized ? Look, Im all for cleaning up the streets of York but these numbers are not impressive. Thats like going to the beach, scooping up a pale of sand and saying it made a difference to the shore line. Sounds like a lot of bragging over a very small, low level series of busts to me.

I did notice the total amounts.$8,960 in Marijuana,$4,480 in Heroin,$5,060 in Coke, and $17,667 in cash. Who cares who the Big fish are when people are out there risking their lives. The street level sellers and users are the major problem. The high level dealer isn't the one breaking into homes or robbing people on the street to support a habit. How about offering praise to the people out there keeping the wolf from your door instead of LOL at them. They have families. They are risking their lives. There are 12 less sellers on the street. As long as dealers are out there, doing what they do, I want men and women out there doing their best trying to combat it.
