Must have been an undercover investigation. You dont just stop a vehicle and charge 35 counts. Also stopping a vehicle for no record found. Sounds alittle fishy, would be a temporary tag if anything

Was thinking the exact same thing. I don't think that the alleged result of running a random license plate check is sufficient probable cause.

You 2 kind of sound like ignorant tards to me.
1. Its the Morning Call, so im sure they didnt bother to find out why they ran the plates to begin with. Probably speeding or driving eratic since S. Pike avenue is right by the police station and they always have speed traps setup there.

2. THE ARTICLE SAYS THEY RAN THE PLATES. DDDUUHH if theres plates temp. or perm. theres still a record if they are legit. probable cause

you people are so stupid...cops, especially in a town like MACUNGIE, have nothing better to do than run plates for no reason, other than maybe instinct. Ever heard of somebody putting an old plate on a car that is not registered...my thing is this...if the PIGGY did'nt smell the ganja, he would not have searched the car...could'nt these two geniuses wait to puff the dragon till they made their delivery!!

Yeah thats what I was thinking. They ran the plates and found "no record". That didn't mean "no record" as in "no infractions" it meant "no record" as in "that plate does not exist, it is counterfeit"

Also police officers drive aorund running plates all the time, they don't need a reason to do it. Stopped behind you at a traffic light is enough reason to do it.

i would like to know the whole story......if they are just randomly checking plates, thats a bunch of b.s., granite they did catch these criminals, it makes me wonder how many "random" checks are done daily, because it would seem that they would do it ALL THE TIME, and just happened to get lucky, which is garbage because when you look for probable cause, it violates a persons civil rights! He was probably a black dude and she was a white chick and the cop jus wanted to be a dick!

How does driving around checking liscense plates "viotlate peoples' civil rights"?

Which of our Civil Rights is violated by an officer driving around and making sure that peoples tags and registration is up to date?

I think you don't know what the term "Civil Rights" means and you are grabbing at straws.

And tell me, why wouldn't you want officers driving around makign sure people registration and insurance are up to date? Keep your $hit in line and you won't need to worry about it.
