Whoever read or was told that it was okay to videotape at Hooters will be in for a rude awakening. The entire USA Hooters chain is protected by Federal Motion Picture Copyright, and therefore, videotaping at any Hooters establishment within the United States of America, even if you hypothetically had the permission of every single waitress, manager, and customer in the entire restaurant, is punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
It is also punishable by up to 5 years in prison to videotape within less than 1,000 feet of a Hooters establishment within the United States of America, and within less than 3.75 miles of a Hooters establishment in the US State of Illinois.

Okay, your distances are way skewed! Also, your claims of Copyright may be false, too. However, people have unfortunately been charged with disorderly conduct before who videotaped at Hooters.

Okay, your distances are highly skewed and your Copyright claim does not appear to be true. Unfortunately, however, people have been charged before with disorderly conduct for videotaping at Hooters.
