And as a reminder, there are laws for these events, including the Grove Fest, and they are as follows;

(1) No person shall interact with, or approach within, less than fifteen (15) feet of any person or persons not part of his/her immediate party. Words/phrases such as "Hi, how are you", "My name is", "Nice to meet you", "Miss", "Mr", a single "Hi" not immediately followed by a name, and such, will cause an immediate arrest.

(2) No person shall ride, on any carnival ride, in any car, gondola, or seating device that is occupied by any person or persons not part of his/her immediate party.

(3) No lone/single person shall enter upon any carnival area or area cordoned off for any carnival or fair for any reason. Violators will be arrested immediately and charged with pre meditated statutory stalking, disorderly conduct, as well as criminal trespassing. All persons are to have someone with them at all times when entering.

(4) No person shall sit down and/or dine at any table, located in any area within any carnival/fair area, that is presently occupied by any person or persons not part of his/her immediate party/group.

(5) No male person or group of male persons shall approach within less than thirty (30) feet of any female person or group of female persons not part of the male person(s) immediate group. No female person or group of female persons shall approach within less than thirty (30) feet of any male person or group of male persons not part of the female person(s) immediate group.

Violations will constitute the charge of statutory stalking which, under Illinois State Law, carries up to fifty (50) years in prison with a minimum mandatory twenty (20) year sentence. Criminal trespassing carries a sentence of up to one (1) year in jail.
