Teen fatally struck by train was standing on tracks

An 18-year-old woman who was fatally struck by a freight train on the Union Pacific tracks in west suburban Lombard on Saturday night was standing on the tracks when she was hit, according to police.

May she now rest in peace my heart goes out to her I can relate too much i was in too much of the same situation 22 years ago but somehow I made it this just brakes my heart and hits home I can only wish the best for the rest of the family. PLEASE family and friends you must come together and be their for the rest of the family and CHILDREN (the friends to Kendra and kristen and the family ) this has to end please watch your children safley talk to them HOLD THEM listen to them be a PARENT to them. What's going on? Seems like everyday we hear about people getting killed by trains. We need more bridges for trains to run on. The government for once could help by hiring a lot of people for this. Trains do nothing but cause traffic jams and lately worse.

Meanwhile, my condolences to the family of this latest victim.
