Unfortunately my experience was terrible. They attempted to sell us a car that did not operate. Thankfully there was a missing signature on the finance paperwork which we thought had been finalized and we were able to get out of the deal. They now refuse to give us our 1500 dollar downpayment back. I have found out they do this on a regular basis so please do not do business with them. i would hate to see thisd happen to anyone else. their BBB acreditation was revoked in june because they do unethical business.

The problems never got fixed almost 4 months went buy I lost 1500 dollars on my warrenty... These guys are the biggest liars I have ever met.. They repaint rims and cover scratches to try to make the cars appear nice.. they are garbage.. They pretend to be your friends but they are not.. there only looking for your money

Haha lol this is funny, I KNOW THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE AND I QUESTIONED HIM ON THIS SUBJECT, all three articles here are written by the same person, good try. By the way, these guys are not related to "lm". Way to try to mislead people because you have bad credit and most likely could not get financed. Get your facts straight.

Wow.... well if you would take a minute to take you head out of your A.. and actually read the thread you would realize the financing was not the problem. I am sure are either the douchbag that tried to ripp us off or another scumbag that works there. With the money you ripp of of people you should take up a reading course. this are very different here in comparison to where you came from. :-)

this are the biggest thiefs in the bussines, stay away for your own good, I bought a car from them paid $10.000 for it and I had to put in repaires another $5000 in the next 2 months, they masked all the problems and didn't wanna hear of nothing after that

Wow, I am amazed at the reports above. I only buy used cars from Motor Werks Inc. They have always been top notch in my book, never have had a problem. The manager and finance guys are such cool people. They had me cracking up the first time I walked in. I guess the reason you all have had problems with them is perhaps because you were buying a cheap car, under $5gs. I only buy the BMWs and Jaguars.. they always made me feel like a million bucks. I am still in disbelief, it was probably one person who wrote all the comments out of spite. Just do your research..

Well, I am not a worker or affiliated with Motor Werks Inc at all other than being a satisfied customer. If they are as bad as you say they are, I'm sure they'd be out of business by now. I looked up and did my "research" and they are not connected with luxury motors at all.. not sure where you got that from?? I just bought a 99' Kia Sportage and a Mitsubishi Eclipse both under $4grand, and am very satisfied. In fact, what I liked most about them is how nice they are. They offer you a drink and snack, and even have little juice boxes for children. My 4 kids of course were excited about that.

I signed up for this thread to recieve responses when someone responds, and now I have to as well. I am from Schaumburg like the two people above, and drove down to Downers Grove to check out a few cars. I did my research too, and saw all these bad reviews. I had to see what it was about. I ended up seeing my dream car and couldn't refuse for the price. It's been about two years now, and no problems whatsoever. I went in last week to look at a new car for my sister. She liked it so much we asked for the carfax, etc and bought it the next day. No problems at all, and they even let us take the car to our own mechanic to check it out. It was in great shape. Moe and Rafal are two awesome cats. Oh, and their new receptionist is HOTTT!!!

While i am glad that not everyones experience with these individuals was not horrible, I could not help it but to notive that the only 4 positive posts on this thread were written at the axecty same time. what are the odds that 4 random individuals decided to respond to this exact same thread at the exact same time. HHM.....not likely. Good try tho.....

ha ya i know rite. well i mean i sign up for updates on this thread so thats prolly why everyone responded at the same time if they were on their email at the same time. but im just sharing my experience with motor werks n it wasnt the best, so i wasw just looking out for others. i know it is not right to say "BEWARE, STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE" because of one experience, but i was just pretty heated abt the situation. so ya.

He/She is correct above, I signed up for updates on responses, and I get new emails right to my phone, so that is the reason for my quick responses. It's not a surprise that we all commented within the same time frame. As stated above, it is not right to judge one place from one bad experience. I'm sure Walmart has as many bad customers as it does good, it happens to every company/business. There's a reason why Motor Werks Inc is still in business, and it's not going anywhere for a while it seems like, so they have to be doing something good, don't ya think!?

Good afternoon,
I, too, am a big fan of Motor Werks Inc. I have been shopping with them for quite a few years now. Both my wife's and my own cars were bought there a few years back. Recently my wife got into a car accident that totaled the car, so we're back on the market. They're awesome people. While I don't think you should be talking about the new girl they recently hired, I will admit she is a cutie! She was very nice too, offered my a variety of things to drink instead of the normal coffee!
Hope this helps!

I myself have been a victim of this dealership. All I can say is be very carefull. the car may look good but under the hood is a totally different story. Bought a car 5 months ago BMW 2 weeks later had to put $1250 in repairs only to find certain parts had been replaced with scrap parts. Went back to the dealership and they didnt want to hear it. Not the best way to conduct business.

I found a specific vehicle I wanted at this dealership and set up an appointment with a sales person named Joe. We were working out the purchase on the car and I was going to do the financing through my own bank which he said was no big deal. He asked for a security payment to hold the car for me in which I gave him my credit card info. I had most of the details worked out with the loan so I told him a time I would drive out there and look at the car, mind you I live 400 miles away from this dealership. I planned my trip and drove the 6 hours to look at the car and make sure everyhting checked out. When I got to the dealership all Joe could say was "you're going to hate me". He then proceeded to tell me that they had sold the car the day before and that the security money I put down had only been good till that tuesday (which he never told me until I got there). I replied that he should have called to tell me it was sold and he said that he did! There was never a call from them to my phone and if he had attempted to call me he would have responded with something other then "you are going to hate me". He lied to me, didn't even care that I drove 400 miles and waisted $200 on the trip and 12 hours of my time! I was so mad I just walked out.... didn't even get a sorry or anything. These people DO NOT care about you and I couldn't believe a human would even have it in them to do that to someone! If you are looking to purchase a car from them it is a bad idea, they are snakes and I wouldn't trust them... please think again!

I am sorry for what happened to you, but when you put a deposit down for a car, it is only until a certain deadline. im such car dealerships have many people who claim to come and see the car and buy it and never show up.. thats why the deposit is so important. if you didnt meet the deadline, then there wasn't anything else at their fault. He should have called you, and I dont see why he wouldnT? I mean seriously, what benefit does he have other than being heartless? I miss calls all the time i dont know about, so i wouldnt immediately accuse him of not calling at all. but he should have called you more than once. sorry for the waste of time and gas.. that's a real bummer. this is why i like to buy cars locally. i live in chicago, so downers grove isnt too far from me so i buy cars all up and down ogden ave, and motor werks always have nice cars for great prices. you can't deny that because there is obviously a reason why you even came there right? for the price and car right? but again sorry for such a bad experience.

Happened to be following this post because i thought that the article was interesting and couldnt help but notice that it is obvious that the positive responses are being posted from either motorwerks employees or someone that is affiliated with that dealership. While I am sure that not everyone has gotten ripped off and there might be some satisfied customers from a perspective of someone who has absolutely nothing against this business it is too strange that every single post defending the dealership is from someone that lives in shaumburg. yet this is an article from the DG reporter in downers grove almost 20 miles away. If there were posts from other locations besides schaumburg i would lean towards giving them the benefit of the doubt but it is too obvious. Also i decided to do some research and in fact they did loose their BBB accreditation which doesnt speak highly of the way they conduct business but it is public record and they do appear under the same ownership as Luxury Motors. Just do your research. Go to a real dealership and avoid the trouble. If they are selling cars so cheap you know there has to be something wrong with them.specially if you are buying a luxury car, yu should be able to afford to buy it from a reputable dealership. I believe this motorwerks of downers grove place is one of those dealerships that buys junked cars repairs them and sells them to joes that cant afford real luxury cars. That is just my opinion.... Good luck to you all.... and just do your research.
