Okay - WHAT is the deal with awful drivers on Woodward ave? I live inbetween 63rd and 75th and Woodward and at first , I kind of thought it was just coincidental, but my roommate as well as my family (when they visit) have noticed it too. It just seems that everyone completely loses their ability to drive once they get to this stretch. They stop in the middle of the street, they shoot out of side streets, cut you off, slam the brakes just to turn down another street, make u turns going 30 mph when there isn't a stop light, they do all kinds of bats*it crazy stuff. And - it's literally EVERY DAY. Every day, I almost get into an accident. If you honk, prepare to get sworn at and flicked off as well.

I forgot to mention how many times I've been stuck behind people who are too busy beating off to catch the left turn arrow at 75th , which lasts all of five seconds if you're lucky. Every day on my way to xsport I'm behind some tool who isn't paying attention and they miss the arrow, so I get to wait all over again. If you honk at them to nudge them forward they'll flick you off out the window.

Don't take the long way in the middle of rush and then complain. No one wants to hear you beeping your horn or whinning.

I moved here for grad school. I'm not exactly a fan of living amongst illegal immigrants and welfare recipients who cut me off in their embarrassing 1985 wooden panelled minivans. The second my lease it up I'm moving back to my downtown condo which some lucky bastard is renting from me for peanuts right now.

For someone who can't even afford a home you have a lot of room to talk about anyone.

On this forum you say that only illegals and welfare recipients own old minivans. Then on another forum ( homeless in Downers) you said the homeless own new cars. You sound like you have some kind of personality disorder. Or are you just a bored miserable person in general?

I've never posted on that thread. It's just amazing to me that none of you have any excuses for driving like morons. PS- I'm 23. Why would I own a home already? Oh, because I'm not some piece of trash blue collar pipefitter who thought he deserved the American dream of home ownership before I could afford it, so I didn't get an ARM subprime mortgage like the rest of the douches with "short sale" signs in front of their house, like literally EVERY 3rd house in the ghetto subdivision behind my apArtment. I didn't think I'd see the day when I'd be apologizing for not contributing to the housing crisis. And ps - I have a condo in the city. Yes, my parents bought it for me. After my lease is up here in Little Mexico I will be getting the hell out of this horrid place.

Something tells me they will be doing so for a very LONG time!!! Good bye you won't be missed

Jay, dont let the door hit ya. I don't have much use for 23 year olds who try to text while driving, on Woodward or anywhere else. I share your frustration about people who miss arrows. But I'll take them over your meanness any day. And Sammy is right. When mommy and daddy are supporting you at 23 (!!!!!) you don't have any reason to be talking about anyone else being a deadbeat!

How is a graduate student a deadbeet? How are they supporting me? I'm subleasing that place to pay them for it, and I am using my own savings from the jobs I have been working at since I was 16 to pay my rent out here. The point is - I asked why Woodward Avenue is such a hotspot for bad drivers even though all the other streets around it are fine. You all are so defensive about it, as if you're responsible for it. And not one of you could be bothered to answer or share I'd you've noticed this phenomenon yourselves. Instead you devolved this thread into class warfare and allowed your resentment to shine brightly.

Maybe the lower class people were not lucky enough to have parents buy their expensive downtown condo for them. Some people pay their mortgage all their lives. You get things given to you and you are superior to the people with less money. I hate people like you spoiled brat who doesn't appreciate anything or respect any one.
