Thanks you for posting about Catherine. The details about Catherine are very personal and out of respect for her and her family I don't want to discuss them here.

Her death was an accident. Please don't call it suicide. The coroner's report does not call her death suicide.

Also, it has been very difficult replying to all the cards and notes we've received. They mean a lot to us and we're very thankful for the support
and show emotion.

With all due respect can u please give a little more information about the accident. Because I know students who are spreading rumors about what happened when I'm sure they don't even know. I'm sorry because of what happened and because of what I'm asking for. But her friends and classmates deserve to know what really happened to her. I know people that feel bad because they were mean to her and they think their a part of her suicide. When really it wasn't. But that's not gonna change how they see what happend until they know the truth. Please don't make others feel worse then what they do.

This is a very inapropriate message. This family lost a "CHILD" This is a horrific thing for any family to have to sustain. You have no right or basis for your lousey comment, other than to be nosey. It's obvious that you are a bitter person trying to bring other people down with you; with your ridiculas comments/questions. If, your child was mean to this deceased girl, it was because you failed as a parent to educate your child about being mean to others "no matter what the circumstances may or may not be. I'm sure that your childs emotional and physical well being reflects on you as a parent. To try and project your poor parenting skills on this family is just outrages!!!!

I think School classmate is half right. Yes, it is horrible, but no one mentioned a death on this forum before this mystery thread was started. It would have been better to remain silent and address others who start asking questions and make an appeal for peace and grace first then.

Her father did not start the forum. There was another forum and he probably accidently started a new one.

Dear "Sunshine".... YOU are outrageous (spell it right)... The classmates have a right to know. If you understood the value of communication and the ability to use it, you would know there is a way to inform people and still respect the family.

When situations like this are veiled, how can one not think it was a suicide. You yuppies are all the same, hide the truth and think it will go away. You have an opportunity to clear the air but of course you are attacking people.

Hope your conscience sits well with you. It was a suicide.

They have no right to the emotions of her family or the details of her death.
No one has the right to know how my dad died nor do they have the right to know anything about you.
The family owes the students absolutely nothing.

What is wrong with you? Are you that much of a heartless, souless bit@h, that you would say such a horrible thing. It was not suicide. The classmates and parents that really cared know what happened and what the circumstances were. Why don't you go find something else to do with your time. Then try and further torture a family that lost a CHILD!!! I hope I spelled the b word right.. double check that for me. Thanks:)

I was one of their au'pairs a long time ago. Thought will google Catherine to see if she turned out to be a good student, maybe an aspiring musician, or a yong artist, or a ballet dancer (her parents expected a lot from her), and a school or local community article will pop out on my screen mentioning her accomplishments; Instead...I got a shock of my life. What a loss...

Its been over three years since Catherine died. I remember going to the counseling sessions at our school, talking about it with my peers, many of whom I did not know, trying to figure out what to make of it. But before that, I remember seeing Catherine and her friend walking home and wondering," I havent talked to her in years. I wonder how she is." That night my parents ran up to me after I walked into my house with all of my school things. I was engulfed in numbness. There ensued my dads visit with Catherine's family, and the wake almost worst of all. From then on the environment of the year was permanently altered for the worse. I still live with her memory and knowing how she died. I will ask kindly. Please do not deface her memory with pointless gossip. She does not deserve to be remembered on an Internet page where people are arguing over spelling and whether a kid asking for more information is right or not. Thanks.

People who knew Catherine will always remember her for the brilliant person she was. No post here or anywhere else could ever change that. People who didn't know her or the circumstances of her death will keep wondering and gossiping. You can not change that either. Maybe one day her story will be told and then those people will get a chance to understand.
