Ron, the owner, come to my home to repair my applicance and demanded a $95 deposit. He was to return in a couple of days to perform the repair. He did not call or show up as promised. I phoned him four times to determine the status. After several weeks I went with another company. This other company fixed the applicance and stated the problem was not as Ron had quoted. His quote was over $300, the other company repaired the appliance for $100. I still have not heard from Ron or received my money back!

Ron, the owner, has owed me $355 for three months now. Many phone calls by me and lies from Ron have me totally frustrated. I am considering small claims court. Never do business with this man or his company.

I had used Central DuPage Appliance for at least 10 years and was always happy with their service. Over the years they had serviced most of my major appliances. However, last year they did the same thing to me as to the two previous posts.. took a deposit, and then would never return my phone calls.... Very very disappointing. I had recommended them to so many people over the years too.... Something has changed.....

I had used this company for many years previously and was generally satisfied with the original owner. Ron sent his brother Ralph over to look at my refrigerator and said that the problem was the fan, and he'd need a deposit of $95.00 to order the part and would call to let me know when he could return to repair same. Ralph called and said the part was back ordered for two weeks. I said never mind I can't wait two weeks for a refrigerator repair. Called Sears myself, ordered part which came in three days!! IN THE MEANTIME, THEY PUT THROUGH THE $95.00 DEPOSIT CHARGE FOR THE PART!! I called numerous times receiving voicemail for days. Would recommend that you find another repair operation that is honest and trustworthy and avoid these guys!!!

I was referred to this company by the manufacture of my appliance so I didn't look into the company or the owner, Ron. What a mistake. This guy is out to rip you off. Be aware. What he tells you over the phone and what he has to say once he shows up and secures his service call charge of $95 is completely different. He totally mislead me over the phone and once he showed up and secured in $95 he jacked up his prices. I could have had my handyman do the same work for far less but once he has his $95, he bullies you into accepting his ridiculous prices. I couldn't believe he was the same guy I spoke to on the phone. Be careful.

Ron took $120.00 deposit for parts for my washing machine on December 23, 2009. He cashed the check the same day. He never returned to fix the machine.
He has not returned my phone calls. Do not use this man.

I too was taken by this man. I was overcharged $60 above the price of his quote to connect a new range to a gas connection. He did nothing more than connect the hose. It took 5 minutes. I would never use this service again.

I wish I had seen these reviews before calling Ron with Central DuPage Appliance. Ron walked in my house,looked at my KitchenAide Oven/Stove and said he doesn't work on these very much. Then he said my 3 year old oven needed an entire new circuit board. He said he would call the next day to give me a price of the part. After giving him an $85.00 service fee check he never called back. We kept calling and finally gave up. This is a Con Man and is not to be trusted. He obviously has lost his ability and knowledge to repair the newer applicances and now just goes from house to house collecting the money for Service Calls only. This means anyone can make up a business name and run around collecting service fees.......... He needs to be stopped from ripping people off. Not sure how he can look at himself in the mirror every day. I am sure he is a miserable man and has probably lost his house, car and wife. No morals, no values! Do Not Be One of His Victims!

In Dec '10 I have them come and fix my stove and while at my house showed them another item that needed repair. Ron said he did not have time to fix that day but he would be back in two days to fix. I'm still waiting.
Today I called early in the am to say my Refrig was not cold enough and I'd consulted the book and needed help. I was told they would call me back. I'm still waiting.

They just plain need to go out of business - not sure how they are staying in business.

Wow Sam, have you ever run a business? A business emulates the personality and character of its owner. I would say, based on the reviews, this owner is completely out of his league trying to provide a quality service to the public and his business practices should be challenged.

I have just recently experienced the same level of corrupt business practice from the owner of Central Dupage Appliance, Ron. He is not a customer driven business owner and should not be allowed to negatively impact the public the way he does and has. I will be taking action against his business, and thus him as the owner, to both correct my situation he has not resolved and attempt to stop him from impacting others. Anyone reading this and considering doing business with him and his business.....run! There are real, ethical and customer focused businesses in the area that can help you and not put you through the miserable experiences Ron has to so many people.

Ron is a f*cking idiot and has no clue what he's doing in the HVAC/refrigeration world! He's a one man shop with no HVAC experience, to be honest I'm not sure how he even got into this business. His 2 drunk brothers are even bigger idiots. Don't know why anyone would use this company.
