Berrien Springs Hit And Run Suspects Turns Himself In

Police say they have a suspect in the Berrien Springs hit and run car accident. Police say 69-year-old Sheryl Vance was walking in the crosswalk at Ferry and Main Streets when a white car struck her and ran off.

He is just a kid and that lady should not Have been J walking. People need to understand that this woman does this all the time. It just so happends she got hit this time. Yes he should of stayed but he is just a kid and was scared! Everyone needs to open their eyes!

Per the law, he is not a kid. "Scared" does not justify illegal actions. Leaving the scene of a personal injury accident is wrong. Period. It breaks the law and he needs to pay for what he did.
The accident may not have been unavoidable given the circumstances, but fleeing certainly was and the courts need to deal with issue accordingly.

I am glad you are "a friend till the end." I am certain this young man needs friends not unlike the entire family of the victim does. What troubles me is you are implying if someone Jay walks should be hit by a car and if they are, this person is not to stop? I believe that is sad and weak.

Accidents happen. For the record she wasnt j-walking. I understand he was scared, and rightfully so, but he left her laying in the street, unconscious and very injured.

How do you think her husband, children and grandchildren felt when they received calls.

No-one ever deserves to go through this.
