First of all, I can tell you're not a doctor.
Second of all, owning a gun is a privelege, not a right. If it was a right, then you wouldn't have to file paperwork and get a background check to get one, now would you?
Third of all, show some respect towards the poor kid who was shot.

Article does not state he shot himself in the head. Responders on this post really need to read carefully before posting their gibberish. Because from what I've read on the comments, that is what most of the comments are...gibberish.
I standby my previous post!
First paragraph in article: "...after he suffered a gunshot wound to his head..."!
Second paragraph: "The boy suffered a gunshot wound -- from a .22-caliber handgun -- to his temple,..."! Ain't that SORTA close to the HEAD? Are you stating that possibly one of his brothers accidentally shot him? If so, your statement may be true. But that is cutting things pretty damn fine! By the way, speaking of gibberish; I have read many, many gibberish post that you have presented. These are mild to much of your crap!

Hey Dr. Phony, I can take you into any center city ghetto and get you all the guns you want, without filing any papers or background check. Where do you practice, out in the boondocks? Dissecting/butchering animals on the farm for food does not constitute being a doctor! By the way, spelling is PRIVILEGE! Watch the spelling on those prescriptions!

Your gun rights may be the LAST rights you lose. Hold on to them blindly, while you lose all the others methodically. You will crawl on your knees offering to give up your guns when they have your privates squeezed so hard your guns will offer no relief.

My question is what type of club would allow someone to shoot skeet with a .22 handgun. I shoot many different types of guns and shoot trap. I believe some of the club officials should be questioned about their practices.
Was a "club" even mentioned??

Exactly "DFBHD"!!! I am more fearful of idiotic posters than anything the NRA does; for that matter anything government does. After all, if these folks cannot read a simple article like this and decipher what it actually said; these same folks are permitted to vote. Now that's really scary. But they live amongst us and hoping that THEY represent a small percentage of the population. However, me thinks it IS the other way around. Following the thinking on this thread, facetiously speaking, I think they were using 55 gallon drum lids for skeet; making the use off a '22' feasible! How's that deduction!
When this artical first came out it didn't have anything in it about neighbors or it happening at a home. The only thing in the artical was the first two paragraphs. And if you notice the last line it says "Check back here later for more details". That means they will add more to the story as it comes in. So before you go and start talking crap and trying to make fun of people for their comments that were made before this much of the artical was written, maybe you should learn how to "decipher" the story, as it was written.

Hey hippie I will hold on to my guns. The framers of the Constitution gave me that right. The purpose of the second amendment is to keep the government in check fool. The first thing any tyrant does is take away the citizens guns,I.E. Mao,Hitler Stalin,to name a few.You may not believe in an armed citizenry but, someday soon you'll look to your neighbors to protect you from our own government.Don't think it can't happen here.

Please read the article before some of you make your ignorant comments.I live down the road from these folks and it was a tragic accident that could happen to anyone. That is why it is called an accident! The NRA has nothing to do with this!Everyone has the right to bare arms,if you do not like guns, then don't own one. Some of us enjoy target shooting, and hunting. The same way someone enjoys gardening or skydiving.Everytime there is an gun related accident, you tree hugging, peace loving hippies come out of the wood work.Where are you when there is a car accident, should everyone stop driving a car,or a job related accident, should everyone stop working? Please remember, this is someones child!I hope the child is alright. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.Remember,it happened on Easter, how many of you were at church Sunday morning, then making some of your comments today.God forgive you!!!!

It didn't happen at a club. Here is a quote from the article seeing how you didn't read the article.
"Neighbors said the shooting happened at a HOME with three brothers who often shot at targets in the woods behind the HOME."
That was not posted as part of the article originally. Perhaps you should realize that.

Huh. Wonder why they called it suicide then.

You might want to "read the article before some of you make your ignorant comments" - isn't that what you suggested?

I think the original post was referring to the same thing. Someone gets hurt with a firearm and anti-NRA comments were some of the first posted.
