"Attorney Robert Katherman said the $34-million project has real potential."

Uh yeah for people 55 years old and up. What about the rest of the community? I think it's quite sad to see nursing homes popping up everywhere. Indicative of an ancient, aging population. We're not getting any younger people!

"When asked if it would remain 18 holes, she said it was too early to tell."

This is a classic Katherman move. Dangle the possibility of keeping the golf course, all the while knowing that your client intends to build over the whole thing.

If Grandview is cut to 9 holes, it will mean the end of the golf course, since nobody wants to play 9 holes. Grandview will join Mid-Atlantic, Hawk Lake and Springwood as golf courses killed by greedy developers.

Heritage Hills is also at risk, since Matt DeRose has vowed to develop it, as well.

Golf is passe. York was overbuilt with Golf Courses. If the owners of the business want to build an over 55 community, what's the harm?

What gives? Are the township supervisores on a buying spree for golf courses? They just bought the Mid-Atlantic course to the rear of the township building on Canal Rd. Stop spending taxpayer money for your dream projects.

If they can't pay their taxes or loans, they deserve to get sold or re-developed. The golf boom/bust killed the courses, not greedy developers.

These are the same people who wanted to develop York Township. Taxpayers, get ready to have your pocket picked!!!
They will come in with a half baked idea, not do their homework and expect the township to pick up the bill.
Do Dover township taxpayers realize an employee of York township is a Dover township supervisor?(Love)Come on down, we will give you what you want! Money talks!
From reading the comments, many of you people do not know what is happening. You are in LA LA land.

How sad, this course is a piece of history. It could be profitable if it were run more professionally.

Grandview is ancient. It's been outdated for 40 years. Let them build a community for adults.

This has nothing to do with Grandview. Dover purchased the Mid-Atlantic Golf coarse.

My apologies I did not read . I thought they were discussing the Mid-Atlantic coarse. Leave Grandview alone.

I really hope this doesn't happen. Being the general manager of the oldest course in York County, this frustrates me as I may have to actually get a job that would require me to do LABOR. I can't fathom working a 40 hour week. Come on Grandpa and Daddy, back out on this plan.

I'm already stressed out enough as it is. Forcing me to work more than 20 hours is mind boggling to me, I don't think I can hack it. Besides my fiance ties up most of my time now as it is, whatever will I do should Grandview be sold.

No shocker here. Can't keep a professional and try to charge the same rate better golf courses are charging this is what happens. This course doesn't need a makeover it needs better management and I don't even play there I can only imagine what there regulars think.

What will happen to our beloved weekend group? We will miss the dollar beers more than the course itself or the friendship amongst all of us 4th column chops.

You needed to add PUBLIC in front of "golf course."
Grandview does not even compare to the private courses in York, well actually THE one private course in York.
