Whoever takes Judge Shoemaker's place, I hope they are as fair and upstanding as he is and always was! We will miss Judge Shoemaker tremendously! What a good guy! I'm afraid they don't make them like him anymore! Now we must tolerate these young, arrogant bucks that are only out for money! Sad but true.

Time to sit up and look at the facts. DJ Shoemaker has done a great job for the people. I wish him well and thank you for your service. Dave Eshbach has got my vote already. He is the best and only person to take this postion. If the people of this district court want a fair and tough DJ then this is our man. Sorry Mr. Neiderhiser nothing personal, but it is how I feel.

David Eshbach is the quality candidate for this position. He will be fair but tough. Vote for David Eshbach!!! His campaign committee includes the following honorary chairmans: Congressman Todd Platts, Representative Seth Grove, former Sheriff Bill Hose, Sheriff Rich Keuerleber, Coroner Barry Bloss and Register/Clerk Brad Jacobs. He has built a winning team.

Dave Eshbach all the way, he has proven his dedication and service as a police officer. He is a wonderful person, like the last post said, spend a few minutes with him and you'll find out.

Dave Eshbach is an officer and a gentleman and a gentleman farmer. He has streets smarts and horse smarts. Who could ask for anything more on the bench?

Just what we need is another cop as a DJ. They just can't ever seem to get off the public pension merry go round. Disgusting.

I am trying not to laugh at all these BS endorsements about the current DJ and some of these canidates. I know better, and others know what I know. I only hope the voters don't make the same mistake they made with one, and put another in just like what we had for all these years.

While both of the law enforcement officers deserve ample praise for their service, we need someone on the bench with practicing law experience. Attorney Neiderhiser has that. With many years of service as an Assistant DA in York County and as a practicing attorney, Neiderhiser is the only candidate who has presented in the courtroom and has what it takes to be a district judge. While I am not say law enforcement officers can't make good judges, I am saying that those familiar with the judicial process and better equipped for the job. Neiderhiser is the only candidate with those qualifications.

YorkPol, While I appreciate your logic, I wonder if you've ever interacted with Mr. Neiderheiser on a personal or professional level. I have had the opportunity to work with him on numerous occasions. He is often rude and disparaging and completely unprofessional. He tries to walk all over people who he should consider colleagues, but he feels he is better than they are and knows more. I fear the future should he win this election.

He is garbage as a attorney (both sides) too. Go do civil law Neiderhiser.

I don't know attorney Neiderhiser, and he may be the right person for the job, but I have to wonder if any attorney or person versed on the law would be better than a person with wisdom, common sense, and integrety? Lawyers/judges, don't seam to understand the word, "FAIR." Fair is a two way word, meaning fair to the victum as well as the defendant. How many times have we heard a lawyer ask a question starting with; "YES OR NO," bla, bla, bla. Yes or no may not always allow the, "whole truth and nothing but the truth," to be heard and a GOOD Judge should have the common sense to question if just a yes or no, would be a "FAIR" answer. Let the TRUTH be heard!

I didn't know Sleestaks could run for office. Do you really want a Judge who aligns himself with the Darkside of the "Force"!

Upon reading this post I have to wonder why this list of current and former Republican office holders have such an interest in this local low level office.Do they truly believe this is the most qualified candidate or is it another opportunity for them to display their political clout.I believe the voters in this area are more diverse and sophisticated then to fall for such a ruse

Shoemaker may have been nice and fair to the people he knew but when it came to people of color, well that is another story. I hope that the other candidates are still living in the 60's.
