Where were this kid's parents?? Too many parents give up too much control too early. And, then they wonder why their kids don't listen when they're a bit older.

Some parents don't get it! Establish consistent values, discipline and rules when the kids are really young and keep at it. Some parents let their young kids do what they want to and then try to establish rules when the kids are older... by then, it's usually too late. <sigh>

If this happened in New York, the parents would be suing the manufacturer of the washing maching, the engineer who designed, the store that sold it to them, the person that sold it to them and the guys who delivered it to there home. There lawsuit would state that the company should not manufacture a washing machine where a kid can get stuck and that the store and all its employees that work for the store that helped them should have known this and informed them of this problem. You know what, the stupid twit would win money also. Got to love the state of this country. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CHILDREN!!!! YOU SHOULD HAVE TO GET A LICENSE TO BE A PARENT!!!

You must be a joy at parties. Oh, wait a minute -- you would never get invited to a party. Never mind.

All I'm saying is that parents should tale parenting responsibly. For their own sanity, parents should establish consistent rules and values early on.

I see so many parents make empty threats and the disobedient kid gets what he/she was crying for anyway. That just encourages the kid to do what he/she wants because the parent will give in anyway.

And, BTW, I am a joy at parties knowing my kids are well adjusted and can be left with friends or family for a few hours without worrying they are causing havoc.
