Yes that is correct. It's called being a good parent. My daughter stays by us and rarely is out of our sight.
It's very obvious that you are not a parent...or at least one that cares about their children.

Read the story...it says that the girls were followed around the store. I read this meaning that there wasn't a parent around the entire time.
An off-duty officer had to put an end to this.

- Castillo-Sandoval, last of Hudson Street in Dover, is accused of following two girls, ages 11 and 12, around the store and masturbating in their presence. Although he did not have physical contact with the girls, he is charged with second-degree counts of sexual assault for his conduct in front of children younger than 13 years of age.

Dover police Capt. Peter Ugalde was off-duty and at the Wal-Mart on March 30, 2008, at 6:14 p.m. when he noticed a man following two girls around while touching himself. Ugalde contacted Roxbury police, and responding Corporal Thomas Lutz spotted a man fitting Ugalde's description leaving the Wal-Mart and arrested him.

yeah right, you'd have your eyes on 11 and 12 year olds every second? it's not like they're toddlers.

You're absolutely right, Quag. Son was 12 and I started giving him a little more freedom, told him he could look around the bookstore as long as he kept me in sight (huge store). Next thing I know some scum perv was sleazing up to him as he was reading a book--not for long after I went over and threatened to tie his parts around his ears for muffs...cannot be too careful, whether you have boys or girls no matter how old they are. Being a good parent means you watch where they go, ask where they've been and who with, and warn them there are azzwipes out there masquerading as humans.

That "itch" is commonly called "crabs." The pebal institution docs will clllear it right up for him so the other inmates don't get infected.

neither is true. but it's nice to know that you do admit that she is rarely out of your sight. that tells me that there are rare times when she IS out of your sight, and that's exactly my point, that you can do what you can do and it only takes a split second for something to go wrong. a split second for a good parent to become distracted by something. i'm not saying that this is the case for these two kids, they very well may have been with a parent who was more interested in getting the blue light special that day or they might have even been in the store alone, which in itself is disturbing. no parent, as perfect or caring or as good as we would like to think we are, has all the answers.

From the story saying that they were followed around the store by this guy the entire time he was fondling himself it leads me to believe that they were completely alone. A parent may have been somewhere else in the store but it still doesn't hide the simple fact these girls were 11 and 12. Way to young to be by themselves even if its just somewhere else in the store.

100% agree.
Daughter is 15 and has a little more freedom but is in complete understanding that we will be checking on her and she will do the same.
She is good about calling us and letting us know how things are going if she is out with friends and she definitely has been raised to understand that the world is not all happy go lucky and safe.
She doesn't go through life fearing everyone but I promise she maintains a detailed understanding of who is around her.
