Anyone know what happened at Hwy 5 near the nursing home? I know a person was lifeflighted, and traffic is being redirected. I hope everyone will be ok.

I'm glad they survived. I live close by, and I heard it was really bad. My family and I prayed for them. Are they going to be ok?

One pair of hands working does more that 1,000,000 clasped in prayer!

Why don't you pray for a cure for child cancer?

Why don't you pray for an end to child rape?

Why don't you pray for an end to child abuse?

Why don't you pray for an end to child hunger?

Maybe she should pray that you go away!

Maybe, she should!

Or maybe, all of you should stop playing make believe with your imaginary friend and actually do something good for someone instead of just thinking about it.

The Revealer, I do pray for those things. I will pray for you, too.

I do many good things to help others, or at least I try to be as helpful and supportive as I can. Recently, I have helped some elderly people with yardwork, cleaning, and transportation. I also helped with the Thanksgiving food pantry distribution and I have donated food. I wrote letters to those in the storm in the North to encourage them, and I helped others with Christmas presents. I am leaving soon for a weekend to go spend it helping to clean up tornado damage out of state. You see, I don't just think about doing something good, I do it. And I don't just say I'll pray, I do that, too. I pray that your heart will open and you'll see just how awesome God is. It's an indescribable joy. I'm praying for you.

Well, have your prayers worked? Are all children safe from pedophiles, hunger, abuse and disease? No,

Good, I'm glad that you've helped! That's excellent! I too help in very similar manners. God is not necessary to do good and prayer is just wishful thinking. Prayer is a way to feel that you have helped by doing absolutely nothing.

Oh, and god doesn't exist. The ball is your court to prove such a extraordinary claim.

My hope is that everyone will educate themselves on the natural world and see how awesome it is and realize that supernatural invisible misogynistic totalitarian sky wizards are really a silly thing to believe in.

I don't believe in science, I UNDERSTAND it! And I hope that one day you'll look around see all the pain, suffering, death, cancer, disease, etc... and realize that there is no god. And say that there is a god, is he worthy of worship? Nope, because he is a sadistic being to allow such atrocities to occur!

Try this:

What would happen if you get down on your knees and pray to God in this way:

Dear God, almighty, all-powerful, all-loving creator of the universe, I pray to you to cure every case of cancer on this planet tonight. I pray in faith, knowing you will bless us as you describe in Matthew 7:7, Matthew 17:20, Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:24, John 14:12-14, Matthew 18:19 and James 5:15-16. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

You pray sincerely, knowing that when God answers this completely heartfelt, unselfish, non-materialistic prayer, it will glorify God and help millions of people in remarkable ways.

Will anything happen? No. Of course not.

I usually don't answer you but the fact that you ask if my prayers worked well yeah they have. My oldest was in a bad car wreck in 1999, doctors told me she would be in the hosital for most of the summer, and then would have to be in rehab for several months so she could learn to walk. I prayed every night over her injury...I did healing through energy...and in one month she was home with me again, and that was even after completion of rehab. We were told she would probably never be able to have babies, but my two grandchildren beg to differ. So have my prayers worked...why yes they have.

Did the doctors and medical staff have nothing to do with "miracle" and "answered prayer".

This is your proof of prayer being answered?

What about the millions of other parents whose children are hurt and they pray with as much if not more conviction than you and their loved one didn't recover.

Doctors can be and sometimes are wrong on a prognosis.

If your god hears you and answers your prayers, you must be very selfish. You prayed for what YOU wanted.

Did you ever pray that your children are safe and never come into harms way? Well, if yes, your prayers were not answered, your child came into harms way!

14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them,“Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18 But someone will say,“You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[a]? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says,“Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,”[b] and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.

25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Translation:
You can commit infanticide and, as long as its done in the name of god, you are his friend.

In other words:

If you don't believe in god, but yet you feed the homeless, cloth the poor, foster children without homes, save kitties and puppies from euthanasia, whatever good deeds you do that are thankless, the "good" lord will see you punished for all of eternity.

But, if you commit mass murder in the name of your god, all is forgiven and you are a good person!

Makes total sense!
