“Thank for Mrs. Wiggins for your words…Oh yes for those that don't know me…And by they way your talking about my families lively hood in these post…I'm not starting a witch hunt, I don't care who the leak is…I am going end this post, hopefully, by saying this.”
Trent,
Save yourself (and the school) future embarrassment by using correct grammar in further posts.

The situation at ACS has been in decline for some time. The students, faculty, and staff have started a campaign to raise funds for a school with no evidence of leadership. Throwing money at a situation unproven in a successful track record isn't smart. If the millions are raised, what happens when the leadership is without the wisdom of curtailing this event? The school had great potential. Unfortunately, the people who made decisions never had the strength to see the avenue by which to tap into the potential. The constant turn-over in the leadership positions speaks volumes to the depths of issues needing attention and change.

Several people keep saying the leadership.... Well if you feel you could do better why didn't you ask to be on the board. I guess its the boards fault the school needs a new roof, septic tank, pipes, and ace units right. Stop the negativity! It is going to consume the good that is being done! If you do not have anything positive to say at this point don't say anything at all! No one is perfect so stop casting stones.

I, too, worked at ACS for awhile and had a child graduate from there. Although we are not at ACS now, we still have friends that work there and attend school there. I'm not here to address who is at fault for the current situation of the school. The only thing I will say about my experience there is that the school has many good people who work very hard. We made a decision to change schools bc that's what was best for my children at that time.
Now, that being said, what I would like to address is the incredible lack of good judgement by theother1 in starting this post before the announcement was even made to the families of ACS. As it turns out, your information about the financial state of the school was correct, including the amount of money and time that the board feels that the school will survive in it's current state. Conclusion? You clearly have a friend who is on the board whose lack of discretion is at a minimum unproffessional, insensitive and unethical. They should be removed from the board as they could not possibly have the best interest of ACS at heart if they repeated such devastating information to someone who would take pleasure in annonymously posting it an online forum. For what purpose? To give previous co-workers the news that they would be losing their jobs before the board could let them know this? Did you really want to let current parents know that they were going to be thrown into total turmoil in the next 24hrs as they worried and tried to scramble to gather info about other possible Christian schools that would be willing to take their children after the 2nd semester of school had already started? Was your intent to freaking ruin the last HS semester of their lives for the seniors and to give those seniors one more thing to worry about as they plan their future??? REALLY???? So guess what? The school is in financial trouble and parents and alum are asking for help. And some of your previous co-workers and assumably friends have lost their jobs. Children are going to be moved to other schools, and there will be uncertainty for several months to come for remaining students and fac/staff. Was it really worth it to you for you to blow the lid off this early? Perhaps you were never a good fit for the Arlington Family to begin with.
Our family prayers are with the school, fac/staff students and friends.
Typical " Bury your Head in the Sand " Christian. Attack the messenger NOT the message!

You type of folks that cover up truths are pathetic.

Good grief. If you are anything like the teachers they have there they deserve to go under. Such nonsense should have been left in the dark ages.

Whatever their money problems are, I can *assure* you that a mythical creature who the weak-willed want to blame because they're too inept and lily-livered to admit their own problems is not to blame.

After reading this post over the last few days. My suggestion is "STOP". Parents, Students, Teachers, and Alumni. Pray! If ACS was meant to be here it will will stand. The messages on this board is harmful to the public, and prospective students. Remember this is the internet, and yes...everyone is talking about ACS, "no money". How can you build your numbers and enrollment with this type of rhetoric.

We are free to choose between supporting or attacking

However

The message hasn't changed...Love One Another

We tend to forget this in trying times

Instead of feeding the problem, let's be part of the solution

What great advice :-/ Do nothing and hope someone else does it for you.

One single person, spending one minute of real time will accomplish more than every Christian in the world praying.

Praying is nothing more than narcissism.

At last - some sanity in this thread.

All it needs is for someone with a vested interest to come up with a quantifiable plan. Forget the superstition which does *nothing* but hold people back.

You are a coward for posting this. Even if this is true, there are many families there now that depend each day on the staff to protect and teach their children. Next time you decide to spout your mouth off, grow a pair and let us all know who you are.
I had rather have a few days notice than be told at the last minute. This sounds like the management post, the news slipped out before they wanted you to know and pay your bill on wednesday

Unexpected septic tank issues which cost over $100,000 maybe caused a large part but lets not blame septic tank problems when you could blame somebody right!

Its no wonder you dont have any money. You can put in a 10,000 gallon tank and 1000 feet of line for less than $100,000.I dont know who you got doing your work, but THATS why you dont have any money.

Some people in life will not be satisfied unless the they have someone to throw under the bus. Someone will always feel they can do better. The people who are involved in this situation have bypassed this and have now started to find a solution. So those who enjoy the negative in life and dwell in it good luck. As for me and my household we will dwell in the Lord.

Don't blame the administration that is in charge of education. SACS gave an accreditation of excellent. They have done an excellent job.

So the biggest part of your gripe is that the information was released early? What about the fact that the information existed at all? If enrollment isn't down substantially, then most of us will logically start looking at who is running things. From what I'm reading it doesn't sound like the school hired competent administrative staff, in particular the top seat holder. What use is quibbling over the release of "insider" information? In fact, why is there a lack of transparency at all in a Christian school? These are some of the questions that need to be answered if there's a chance to save this. Looking for people to blame outside of the ones who can actually BE blamed is foolish and useless. It's time for everyone to come clean, not go on a witch hunt. How "Christian" is that?
