During the recent semi-tornado we had here in D-ville on Tuesday night, a tall pine tree became severely bent over and was threatening to crack and fall on my house. The next day, I called two different local companies (who shall remain nameless) and neither one could come out and give me an estimate until the next day (Thurs). Needless to say, I was worried sick, but I decided to wait it out and hope another storm would not come through and knock it over.

Thursday morning comes, one guy comes out at 10:30 and gives me an outrageous estimate, then tells me he's going to go check on his crew at another location then call me back in half an hour. It is now 9:30 am on FRIDAY, and I STILL have not heard from him. I called his company several times and no one answered.

The other guy I had called came out around 3:00, sat in his truck in the rain for about 5 minutes, then drove away. He never called me back, either.

Later on that afternoon, my neighbor recommended Bill's Stump & Tree Service. He came out himself THAT DAY, secured the tree with a rope for the night, then came out again today at 8:30 and cut it down with the help of a few workers.

AND the cost was $150 less than the other two companies I called!

Needless to say, I am a happy customer with one less dangerous tree in my yard.:)

I am writing this topic so that other people in Douglasville who may have had storm damage can see it and use a reputable and affordable company instead on one that will give them the run-around. Thanks, Bill!!!

Topix won't let me post his phone number, but you can easily look him up in the phone book or online: Bill's Stump And Tree Service
