I haven't heard a lot of news about this but apparently there was an 18 year old girl from Hiram High that was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday night along the Douglas Paulding line. Does anyone have any information on this? Someone said it was on the local news..........

Yes, it was on the news. I only caught the end of the story-by the time I said, "Douglas County, Hwy 92?" and turned my head to look, it was gone.

It happened in front of my subdivision. Haven't heard or seen anything about it. Contacted the Police office and they wouldn't give any information because she's a juvenile. Wanted to send the family some gifts but don't know how. If anyone hears anything please email me. I sadly saw her on the street and was worried her family wasn't at the scene before they moved her body into the van. Horrible accident. Bless her soul and family.

Yes walking down the median in the middle of 92 on a night when it was raining and wearing dark clothes. I read this on another county forum discussion board. She also attended Hiram high school, but lived in Douglasville. She was walking back home to Douglasville from the Hiram area. 2 cars hit her. The 1st one hit her and she went airborn. That's when the 2nd car hit her. Neither driver was charged, and both drivers did stop at the scene. This was a 100% preventable death. She was old enough to know that you do not walk down the middle of a busy road like Hwy 92, especially at 8:30pm when it's raining. I bet those 2 drivers now have nightmares of this.
