Just wanted to let you know the douglas.binarybus.com was very helpful. My husband and I are looking at a house in Virginia Highlands and I was wondering if you know of a site like this site only for Fulton county? Either way thanks for the Douglas co info.

Not rich by any means, its just that all our "extra" is in real estate. Right now we are in the process of selling a house in Destin FL. If that house sells my husband wants to buy in VH or Morningside. He is sick and tired of driving into Atl. everyday. Can't say I blame him and lets face it, D'ville is not what it used to be. We found a house that would be great in VH on Park Drive. Its a stones throw from Piedmont Park.
I was just trying to find out any additional info I could on the house. Know of anyone thats looking for a beach house in Destin? Its only been on the market for about 4wks and we have it priced about 100k below market value. Hubby says sell the Destin house and we can look in VH, so I'm trying to do my part. This real estate market is the pits, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Like I said its just an investment, and with the market being what it is we're not going to make a very good return on our money. I am going to hate selling it but it is getting really expensive with the taxes and insurance and of course all of the storms in the past couple of years. We just want to sell and move on to the next stage in our lives. The market in Destin is a little bit better than here but the "short sales" and foreclosures are what we are up against. It would be nice to get into VH with the market down. I don't think we could afford it with the market up. At least the houses in Atl. hold their value. We have been in D'ville for about 20 years and our house is not worth much more than we paid for it 15 yrs ago. That is sooooo sad.

I know where Park Drive is very well,the houses are out of control and they are small.If you have kids and you are used to having a big house you won't get it in the Highlands you can't get anything decent for under a Million.Trust me their is alot of crime in the highlands.I am their daily well when I go to work

The Higlands have more crime than you think,I am their daily and I know everything that goes on remember the Letter Carrier knows everything about you by the mail they get and they tell u everything.I would certainly find out about what they won't want to tell u.Ansley Mall right by Park on Monroe people have been robbing folks at the Publix for years.But Good Luck.Also their was a murder on Morningside where the guy killed 2 sister's.

Virginia Higlands,is the area Morningside is a street.I want to buy their also,I can't even afford the apartments on Morningside and North Highland.The Middle School on Virginia isn't very good.The elementary school on East Rock is pretty good,most people send the kids to Woodward,after elementary.

The douglas binary bus is going to be taken down. They current have the a new area, it does not include items such as business lic, boat, etc.

klbmom, I am glad that helped you! I have used it alot thru the years.
I am not aware of one for fulton, but would think they have one. Google something like fulton tax records. If you can't find it that way, call their courthouse/tax office.
And I love VH! If my husband wasn't such a country boy, we would sooo live down there somewhere. Good luck, and I hope you get a steal!
