Gun Runner,I am by no means trying to be rude. But I would like to ask u something ok? Why do u seem to be so hard hearted? I mean is it a front or are u really the way u make yourself out to be on here? I really hope it is just a front.Because u should never judge anyone, that is not no ones place to do.Only God can do that.Anyway have a blessed day.I wish u and everyone else in this big ole world nothing but happiness. And maybe if u would spread just a few kind words,or give just a smile to someone.U never know that might just make there day.

I kinda agree with durr and gunnie. Drug users are part of the 47 percent living and stealing off others. Now they gonna moan and complain about not enough tax money to supply counselers and nurses to blow made up smoke up their behinds. Yep, give em an orange suit and it will not take long to learn lifes mistakes.
I have had enough stolen from me to become very hard hearted. I have no more tax dollars to give a failing system.

You can pretend your not in your fantasy world, But you are one and most likely at the bottom of the heap.

Hmmmm I judge nobodies salvation. The good Lord did state that man would have to obey the laws of the land. Nurses or no nurses druggies are a burden on society.
sounds like the ones that quit threw up their hands also.
If you really want to help dont preach to me, preach to the offenders of the drug court.

No excuses, no apologies!

You do drugs you need some jail time. Druggies will lie, cheat, steal, prostitute (themselves and others, both male and female and undecided), and kill.

While in jail they need to sit and shake. None of my tax money to keep them zoned-out.

If that's cold-hearted then so be it. As far as my kin being on drugs we have experienced it and my feel ins are the same. Don't care if I ever see them again and they ain't welcome here.

For Hmmmmmmmmm, you got some serious issues. Good thing we don't lock folks up for being stupid 'cause you'd be a goner!

Was the counselor fired for not rehabilitating the addicts? Did the other counselor and the nurse resign due to the fact that the drug screens came back positive so that they couldn't justify their salaries for the outcomes expected? Drug addiction is such an insidious disorder that it is almost impossible to have a positive outcome if the participant doesn't want sobriety just because society 'wishes' sobriety for the user.
Oh, and I don't have the slightest idea what happened at the drug court program. Just an observation and inquiry.

Drug Court was developed as an alternative to serving time for the crime. As we all now know, in reality all it did was enable the druggies to get more hooked and commit more crime before getting busted again.

As we see by some of the posts, drugs really do mess people's up!

Not the "drug heads" but the dealers. When you make it expensive and public knowledge who these low lifes are then they might stop selling. Lock them up because of them providing the means for someone to ruin their life.

With the over load on the prison system, non-violent offenders are dealt with as much as possible outside of jail/prison. Not to say drug offenders will not turn violent, but at the point they are sent to court, they are non-violent. The average cost of housing a prisoner is $42 per day. That is $1302 per month and $15330 per year. That does not include unanticipated medical expenses occurred, which we all know always results in a very large bill. Thus drug court is a productive counter to prison.

Sorry, I am new poster - I am not "conservative taxpayer" - shouda put a 2 behind my name. Anyway, I think we should take up Mexico on their offer to house our prisoners at a very low $$ rate. Not so many repeat offenders then!! I doubt their prisons have changed too much in last 100 years.
