You know exactly what that means, you're pushing that agenda right here. You're trying to convince normal people that deviant perverted behavior should be accepted and embraced by everybody, regardless of their opinion or morals. That only your opinion counts and to hell with everybody else. Well guess what, in America, you have the right to be abnormal, but we have the right to not accept it, endorse, it, or like it.

God has already judged homosexuality, do Sodom or Gomorrah ring any bells. It is a morallity issue, always has been. I lived throught the Civil Rights Era when the argument was whether or not blacks should have equal rights to whites, and let me tell you that those racists sound much like the homophobes do in this argument: hateful and narrow-minded.

I believe that most other groups of people have equal rights, and gays should have equal rights, as well. I don't even believe that it is a choice people make if they are truly gay.

Most of the rights that gays want involve a way to chose a lifetime spouse, and to share the benefits of their jobs, such as health insurance and inheritance laws. How could that make you sick to your stomach?

And, by the way, this in no way compares to pedophiles and rapists. Ridiculous.

Now that I have spoken up for the rights of gays, the ridiculous people on this forum will probably call me gay. This old lady is hetero, but I respect the rights of others to live their own lives as long as they are law-abiding citizens!

It is a wonderful freedom in America that you can choose to live by a strict interpretation of the Bible. You can teach your beliefs to your children and grandchildren. It is well within your rights to choose your lifestyle. It is also your right to speak freely about your beliefs.

But it is not your call to choose what is right or wrong about the lifestyles that others choose, as long as they do not violate your rights. That is what is so great about our country and its freedoms.

I don't think it is fair for you to expect gays to "stay in the closet," and not be able to go out in public with their significant other because you don't want to see them. There have always been gays in society, but they were forced to live secret lives. My grandmother (who lived in a larger city in Georgia, 1905-1999) talked of her "batchelor friends" that everyone knew were gay, but no one discussed it. They were extremely kind, professional men and they were her friends.

The bottom line is, gays should enjoy the same freedoms as everyone else or it is called discrimination.

People have the right to choose what lifestyle they want to live. However, the Bible clearly addresses this issue among others in the New Testament as well as the Old Testament.

Romans 1:24-32 KJV)
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Homosexuality is not the only sin addressed here.
Fornication (sex outside of the marital bed) is a sin

being covetous (jealous) is a sin

back-biting (gossip) is a sin

murder is a sin

deceit (lying) is a sin

malignity (malice, hate) is a sin

disobedience to parents is a sin

The Word says what it says. It is your right to believe in what it says and try to abide by it or you can reject it and rebel against it. None of us are perfect. It is not my place to judge anyone for the choices they make for themselves. However, I expect the same courtesy when I do not agree with those choices.

No government created marriage and our so called founding fathers stated that without the law of GOD they couldn't come up with the constitution. This world takes from the bible and re mix it but call it a civil union but not marriage that's between a man and a women period. Homo is the same as abortion destroying life.

I don't care what you all claim the Bible says. That's great that you believe God's Word, but NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO BELIEVE THE SAME THING YOU DO. Why is that concept so hard to understand? Why base laws on religion? What somebody wants to do with their life is none of your damned business...but then again, this IS Topix, all you homophobes are good for is judging others. You want to bitch and moan about how people are violating God's law, but aren't you doing the same by judging others? Only God can judge someone, NOT you. Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it.

And what about all the adultery? What about invitro fertilization? What about gender selection? What about birth control? What about having 3 or 4 living spouses during one lifetime? If you believe in the sanctity of marriage, does not the bible say once joined in matrimony, til death do us part? It surely does. So unless you've NEVER committed at least one sin listed above, just shut the f**k up. Ok?

If you see a gay/lesbian person in public do they run up to and immediately try to turn you gay, no then why should you try to turn them straight by shoving your personal religious beliefs down their throat?
Actually I did have a lesbian hit on me, didn't scare me or really offend me. I don't swing that way.I have friends/co-workers who are gay,we get along fine. The funny[haha] thing is they never push their way of life or even really came out. Now if it is so 'perfectly" alright to be gay,why hide it?

May I state again,I DO NOT care what you do to yourself!!!Just know one day we all see the ways we have gotten of the right path. Being gay is no more or less sinful than adultry, murder, thievery and whatever other sin you talk about. All will reap what they sow.So sow wisely.

Exactly! I believe there is a quote in a bible "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" this is John right? It's been so long since I've read it. So anyone who is on this forum who has never done a single thing wrong in their lives, anyone who has never committed a sin let us here from you. I won't hold my breath for those to respond nor should anyone else. This shit is ridiculous let people live, let them do what they want with their lives. It doesn't affect you in any way whatsoever, for those of you that say it makes you "physically sick" go to Mcdonalds get a straw and suck it the fuck up.

That's good but her hitting on you isn't her trying to shove her life on you it's just her trying to connect to someone. You never know unless you try and she tried which is more than I can say for alot of people who just sit in the shadows and watch life pass them by.

God made us to love not to hate. God made me homosexual like He made you straight. I know I'm going to get the story about Sodom and Gomorrah. In the bible it never says those cities were destroyed for homosexuality. Those cities were destroyed for the rape and inhospitality. I know the in Romans 1 says that a man should not lay with a man in the way he would lay with a woman, but look a some other scriptures in the Bible let me give you some examples of some other sins in the Bible....

Not spanking a disobedient child...Pv 19:24
DRESSING INDECENTLY...1 Tim 2:9 Pv 7:10
LOVE FANCY CLOTHING TO SHOW OFF-TO BE ADMIRED BY MEN...MK 12:38
Beauty that comes from wearing gold Jewelry...1 Pe 3:3
Women that adorn themselves with gold and pearls...1 Tim 2:9
Complaining about what you dont have...Num 11:4-6
Cursing the rich...Ecc 10:20
Debating (like the board)...Ro 1:29
Divorce...Mt 19:9
Employees arguing with Employers...Titus 2:9
Calling a man your father...Mt 23:9
Fearing Men...Lk 12:4,5
Not Fearing your mother or father...Lev 19:3
Loving Others...1 Jn 4:8 and 5:2
Not Loving Your Enemies...Mt 5:44 Lk 6:27
Not Loving Your Neighbor..Ro 13:9 Mt 19:19 Lk 10:27
Loving Yourself...2 Tim 3:2
Loving the World...1 Jn 2:15
Being Lazy...2 Thes 3:10-12 Pv 6:6-8 Eph 5:16 Heb 6:12 Mt 20:3,6 Ecc 10:18

Just to name a few. Do you live by these rules? Some are kind of silly wouldn't you say? Then are some major contridictions there. So if you live by the Bible and want to condemn me for being gay, can I condemn those women that wear pearls and gold jewelry, someone for being lazy, someone for loving themselves, somone for not loving their enemy or someone for just loving? Or do we get to pick and choose the sins that are ok? I'm not trying to take your rights away so why can't I have mine?
