I agree with you, I don't know why "roboblogger" posted this at the top of the Topix page which remains there at this moment. They should have posted updated info instead of the same lame info that was issued Thursday. Thats just wrong! Please continue to pray and say a special prayer tonight at 7:35pm for Courtney and the rest of the missing.

Please verify information before making a post like that. I'm sure there are many of us checking the Douglas forum for updates on Courtney.

Thanks Sugarkane, I feel bad enough as it is without getting the wrong info again. I've known the Hayes family all my life and my heart is heavy with concern. This all seems so unreal.

I choose to go with the thought that it was an honest mistake made in haste and due to wanting it to be true.

ATLANTA -- An NBC crew at the Hotel Montana in Haiti says there are indications people may still be alive in the rubble. It is encouraging news to family members of four missing students, including a 23-year-old Georgia native.

Michelle Kosinski of NBC e-mailed 11Alive News to say that 50 searchers are working at the hotel where Georgia native Courtney Hayes was staying during her visit to Haiti. The owner of the hotel was found alive in the rubble on Sunday. Kosinski told 11Alive News that searchers are using "sensitive equipment" that indicates there might be more life beneath what's left of the collapsed building.

Meanwhile, loved ones of those missing students are crying out for help.

"This is a nightmare," said Leonard Gengel, whose daughter Brittany is among the missing. "We need government intervention. The United States of America needs to get to the Hotel Montana and get our children now."

Hayes and Gengel were among a group of 13 students from Lynn University in south Florida who traveled to Haiti on a humanitarian mission. Eight students who were outside of the Hotel Montana when the earthquake struck have returned to the United States. Four students and two faculty members from Lynn University are still missing.

Courtney Hayes parents are in the Dominican Republic, searching hospitals with Courtney's picture. Friends tell 11Alive News the couple don't plan to come home until they have answers.

Matt Sears, Courtney's boyfriend, has hope.

"Courtney is the strongest person I know both mentally and physically," said Sears. "She can survive this."

No where is the anguish more evident than on the face of Leonard Gengel.

"We need troops at that hotel," said Gengel. "I have pleaded with the president father to father, please get the troops to the Hotel Montana."

11Alive News has forwarded the latest information on the search at the Hotel Montana to Courtney Hayes parents in the Dominican Republic using e-mail. 11Alive News will continue to send information their way as often as there are updates.

Keep them prayers going, they are being answered!!
