Their products are ok, but I've had way better. DeeDee's in Waycross is way better with a nice doughnut that you can sink your teeth into. Holt's really could do with cutting the sugar since most all their products are overly laced with it such that you can't taste the rest of the ingredients. Even their chocolate icing is too grainy with the sugar. They should add more chocolate for a smoother texture. But I've ate fine, home baked goods all of this country, so it really is a matter of local taste. If you like it, great! I just don't eat it often, a few times a year.

I prefer the occasional doughnut that melts in my mouth. Holt's are best. Nothing to bite into but just like, poof, it's gone. And then I do it again, if I'm really in need of a sugar fix.

Hahahah, old Rich man logic, I love it. "We can't mix with the commoners, because they are jealous and want what we have." That train of thought is so outrageously retarded, and serves to show why so many business don't make it. They are owned by idiots.

I call them off to the side and we discuss it calmly. Like mature adults. Lets face it. We are all gonna make mistakes. Bosses should know this by now. But it never hurts to be a little nicer.

The employees get a free breakfast and lunch if they work 8 hours. Anything else over 50 cent they have to pay for. What can you get for 50 cent? Yes the owners have prospered off the hard work of their minimum paid employees. When you make the kind of money they make you can afford all the nice stuff while the employees do without? Employees dont get raises, no health insurance. Forced to take 2 weeks paid vacation each year only one of which is paid for unless you have been there 10 years which is ridiculous to have have to been employeed that long for a second weeks vacation. During all holidays the employees are required to work 12 to 16 hour shifts. Including valentines, Mother's Day, Halloween and especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Two of the most important holidays of the year when you should be spending time with your familles. These so called "CHRISTIAN" employers are nothing but greedy hypocrites. If everyone only knew what went on behind their closed doors. They make nearly $300,000 during the 3 days of Thanksgiving. I will give credit to Cindy one of the owners. She is the most decent one out of the bunch.

I'm sure they've made millions from flour, sugar, milk, and eggs. God knows all. And God alone will judge them.

It's America. Go rent a building, buy some cooking and serving stuff, hire good employees and gibe them nights, mornings, weekends and holidays off, pay them lots of money with all benefits, and get rich.

If it was that easy everyone would be doing it!

It amazes me when people like you make that kind of comment. If you think running a business is so easy and you can get rich, why don't you do it yourself? Oh, that's right, you not smart enough to do it yourself! Stop complaining about successful business owners and do it yourself! Geez

So you want me to believe that Holts made 100K a day for the 3 days of Thanksgiving? If they were open 20 hours a day(which they are not) they would have to sell 5000 dollars worth of product an hour(or 83.33 a minute). The people that work the registars at Holts would die of heart failure or their brains would swell too much from having to figure out the correct change if that was the amount of business they were doing. McDonalds does not do that much in an hour, and they are by far the busiest restaurant in town. I dont doubt they do well during that time , but you might have snorted too much powdered sugar when you came up with that figure.

No you wouldn't. How much do you think people pay to have a full Holt's Thanksgiving? Loads! Several hundred dollars for each meal and more for dessert. Frozen turkeys are not cheap let alone fully cooked ones.
