Troy Davis was executed this evening after the U.S. Supreme Court denied a last-minute stay of execution.

Davis died at 11:08 p.m., according to a Georgia Department of Corrections official.

Yes he did it...he has had time to prove the jury was wrong and he didn't. Now if the can get the other one killed in texas that family will have some peace!

No need to try an make a joke out of it. A man died tonight because of his crime but it is still a lfe taken and another family in pain! And yes I support the death penalty...but I think old sparky should be used!!!!

Eye witnesses testified. Troy also admitted it to several people. He did it. He had like 7 opportunities in 22 years to prove he couldnt. He had no alibi as to where he was other than the place the shooting happened. HE had no proof that he didnt kill him. We need more death penalties for murderers and molesters. If we fried about 5000 of them then others wouldnt be so quick to want to do crimes like that. Karma got troy davis. You can run from the truth but you cannot run from karma.

And please learn to spell and use somewhat proper grammar.

I am taking up for anyone nor am i say troy davis killed that police officer but killing someone is Not right i see where alot of people mess up thinking they can take over Gods job we all have to Give into count to him so the ppl that think they have gotten justice will have to meet their maker one of these days

Please learn to write with complete words. As for you questions I will try to answer what i can make out them to be. He had time to prove he didn't kill him and he could prove nothing it was the first time in 50 years they let an inmate do that. He was found guilty by a jury. There were people who said they saw him do it. I know some tried to now say they didn't see him do it. If they are telling the truth now to bad they should not have lied in the first place. Lat if a member of my family did something to get the death penalty I would not be happy not because of that but because of the crime they did. I would hope they made peace with God and that the other family had peace. And just so you know I have had family memebers murdered and the person got life in jail, one person who killed the other family memeber was never caught. So yes I agree with it and welcome it. does not matter if the person is white or black. If they do such a crime to get death they should take it like a man or woman which ever they are. But I think how ever a person died is how that person should die!! If they killed them with a hammer then they should be killed with a hammer!! I hope this answered some of your questions.

Our prisons are alreay over crowded and we cant afford to keep housing and feeding criminals of this caliber. an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. You didnt kill him so whats it to you? Let god worry about those who convicted him and those who gave the lethal injection. For all you know god took him when he saw fit. God has a plan for everyone. His plan for troy davis was to die yesterday from lethal injection for killing an innocent man. What your saying is its not ok for them to kill a killer. But its ok for a man to kill someone without giving him what he gave unto others. Its the golden rule. Gods golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I think justice prevailed in this case. On to the next one

I have a 9 year old daughter that wouldnt have mis-spelled any of those words. She is capable of making a complete correct paragraph. If i couldnt spell or write better than a 9 year old I would give myself the death penalty...

I never said it was right Like I said in my last post killing is killing i dont care who wear the shoe its wrong two wrong dont make a right and why are you ???ing me i have an opinion just as you so there you have it that what is is to me my Opinion,,,and just so you know our prisons are over crowed with more black men and women accused of dealing drugs now thats a waste of money when they only gonna put it back on the streets if troy really did kill that officer which you dont know because i doubt you was there i see spending the rest of his life behind bars but who are we to take one life

When I first started reading your posts I thought it was some redneck pretending to be black but after reading several I believe you. You get on here and argue with other prejudiced people when you are just as prejudiced as they are. You defend a killer you don't know just because he was black. Well I ask you this what if he killed one of your family would you still defend him? I think you are doing a disservice to black people by your racism and apolling writing skills. We? Did you kill him? I didnt. We are the united states of america and this is our judicial system. Dont like it? Move your ass to europe. Nobody asked you to like it. He was a murderer. Now he has no chance to kill anyone else. Why? Because he reaped what he sowed. 9 eye witnesses watched him kill the man. 7 recanted 18 years later because the naacp paid them to solely because he was black. He had 7 attempts to prove he didnt do it and couldnt. He also admitted to a fellow prisoner he killed him. Good riddance. Its not murder if you put a murderer to death. Its justice.
