Something about Taxes. The tragedy is those guys sold people tires at cost aka the price they paid from their wholesaler. Its sad, and my prayers are with them. I hope they can get everything worked out and get back up and running.

My last set I got from Deen was $114 cheaper then Amersons price and $109 cheaper then Phillips Tire. A buddy who works at the Tire Rack said the price I paid was their wholesale price (Tire Rack) and the price difference I saw was the profit margin of both Phillips and Amerson.

Deen sold me those tires, at their cost, to get my business. They didn't know me from Adam, but they broke their necks to get my business.

People not paying their bills. They had a very active road side/Farm Tire thing going. I heard there are a couple of farmers and Truckintg Companies that owe them more then what the Deens owe in Taxes.

EPA? No, I don't think so. It was the Taxes.

Just thought I would add a note. Alton Deen from Deen Tire had opened his own shop. He is still giving the good deals just like he did at Deen Tire. Go by and see him. He is in the old Davis Tire building on the corner of Cherry St and Peterson Ave. Across from Wells Fargo and Rent a Center....Help spread the word...

As some has already said, Alton Deen has opened up a tire shop in the old Jardine Chrysler/Dodge place. It is in the building across from the new coffee place that is about to open. It is almost directly across from Sears. Great guy and he will give you a great deal and really appreciate your business.
