How about chamber members going to greece? Thought all cities where stressed for cash guess not when your the only ones making money. Don't want good jobs to come in only things that benefit their husbands and the good ole boys. Man when will this stop I guess. The same people complaining about what trips the prez goes on or his wife like they are the ones leading the free world. Consevative confederate republican dirtbags. Peace out
Just wondering

I'm pretty sure that the trip is not funded by the chamber, only sponsored. The trip is open to anyone who can go during that time and can afford it. Everyone, including members, must pay their own way. I'm also pretty sure that anybody can join the chamber of commerce even those who don't own a business. You just have to pay the dues (several years ago it was like $125 for the year). I guess if you really want to find out, just call the chamber.

Your "fact" checking skills leave a lot to be desired.

The Chamber is an organization open to any and all businesses in the county. If you own a business, private or public, you pay your dues and are a "member" of the chamber. There are perks to being a chamber member, things like chamber discounts at restaurants and such.(such as Hungry Howies, etc)but the chamber does not FUND trips to Greece or anywhere else. Such as any organization, they SPONSOR trips and events for Chamber members - said members have to pay their own funds for these events.

L.E. I just want to say thanks. You got to say it before I did. Ignorance is bliss, they say!!

LET is correct. However, she still needs to work on her pompous, arrogant, cocky delivery. I will give a big thumbs up for switching it up a bit and not going with the usual "lovely" or "blessed" day.

If you read the newspaper the trip has been planned for a long time. At least 6 months if not a year. Anyone can go and you do not have to be a chamber member. It costs several thousand per person. Soundede like fun but, we have a toddler and were tight on money like everyone else. But, hey if they have the money it would be a good thing for the young adults to get to see the sights. There is nothing wrong with some culture. Too many people here have never been out of georgis or flordia.

Doesn't make sense to go to a country that is imploding with high spending, can't make it's debts, needs bail outs.

Is Coffee County trying to copy Greece???
