Border Patrol agent who shot illegal entrant charged with murder

God willing there will be some justice. I am very pleased by this news and I hope that in truth it is a reality and that something good lies ahead. At least it is a good indication tha something has begun A U.S. Border Patrol agent who fatally shot a Mexican illegal entrant in January has been charged with murder by the Cochise County Attorney who said Monday that the shooting was not justified. via KMSB-TV Tucson

Funny we can't catch drug dealers from mexico, can't stop mexican gang but we sure can destroy our border patrol. I say if the mexican was on American soil illegaly the is fair game. Give the shooter a marksman medal and a silver star. If he would have nailed all three he could have gotten the medal of honor!!!!

the prosecutor working for the US or for Mexico. The ILLEGAL ALIENS ARE BREAKING THE LAW TO COME HERE ENMASSE AND THE BORDER GUARD WAS DOING HIS DUTY.

Where is our government? Why are they not protecting this country and our citizens especiallly our border guards. How much more of this crap are the American people going to take before they rebel and fight back. Yet the only answer our traitorous governmnet in Congress has is to give AMNESTY.

They are having sanctuary cities where illegal alies can come in rape, kill, and bring in drugs and when a border guard does his duty he is up for murder charges. And how many lawmen have been killed by these illegal alien criminals and Congress only passes AMNESTY.

Oh the enlighten one has spoken the all knowing and all carring one who has drank from the well of knowledge and willing spreads the truth to the lowest of the low. I live just as close to the border as the enlightened-one. I want it militarized now. I want it patrolled with the serious fear of deadly force engagement. I support the BP! I need & have loaded guns in my rural home and have used them to scare off illegals. Its kind of fun. I have two Rottweilers roaming my acreage with a collective weight of 300+lbs. and neither speaks Spanish. So they can’t read the signs I have posted that warn of their presence.

Sounds like your an illegal lover to me. Why don't you come to my hospital and start taking care of these freeloaders sick anchor babies everyday. Half of the damn unit is filled with them and this hospital will get no reimbursement from these parasites. I have no remorse. I said nothing that rates such an obnoxious response from you. The USA is a sovereign country and has the right to make laws to protect this country, has the right to secure the border and it's ridicuolous to think that the border guardsa have to stand there and do nothing while drug runners and criminals come over the border and shoot at them or try to run them down in vehicular homicide.

Every country protects itself and there is no reason why the USA should not. ANd we do not need to apologize for it either.

My only point on all this goes back to the OP and a few other posts which say it's okay for our law enforcement to be judge and jury. In other words it's okay to shoot to kill when not being attacked.
Anyone who looks into the incedent in the OP will realize it was not justified.
I'm as frustrated as anyone with illegals crossing our border but I don't support shooting illegals unless they have attacked a BP agent first.
In this incedent it was not justified, in my opinion.
I'll say it one more time - stop hiring illegals and most of the south to north traffic will stop.
Then our BP can concentrate on the criminls left, which will be a drop in the bucket compared to what it is now.

I don't support the shootings of innocents either. However, the border guards do need to have guns and have the right to shoot at the drug runners and those criminals shooting at them. It goes without saying that I do not support the shooting of the unarmed people who pose no threat until they actually get here and then overload our welfare system and caue the closings of hospitals.
I do agree with you that if the immigration laws were enforced and the employers of illegal aliens were fined heavily, say $10,000 per head, they would not be hiring illegals and some of the traffic would stop.
It is our government who is catering to the big business corporations who love to hire illegals so they can make even bigger profits even after their huge tax breaks, and our congress most of whom are millionaires themselves who refuse to enforce the immigration laws and the fines who contribute to the problem as well.
However, it's almost impossible to make the government do anything, because once they are in office they do as they like and ignore the majority in this country. They also count on the public being very short memoried, because people don't get on their backs and stay there.
Personally, I have made the decision that I will not be voting or supporting anyone who supports AMNESTY or the illegal alien open door policy just to make their big business buddies.
If any of the candidates call I plan on telling them that I will not be voting for them or donating money if they do not believe in enforcing the immigration laws and securing the border.
The politiicans start to muddy the waters with their usual defense of the country talk. How hypocritical as they keep open borders and nobody knows who or what is coming into the coutnry. They are supporting amnesty and the illegal alien agenda, because they don't believe we will cut and run. The politicians are counting on the people to support the party of their affiliation. If millions of people let the politicians know that they will not be voting for them if they are not for enforcing the IMMIGRATION LAWS AND SECURING THE BORDER. Ask them and if they say they will solve the problem with amnesty, tell them NO, IF THEY SUPPORT AMNESTY AND THE ILLEGAL ALLIENS YOU WILL NOT VOTE FOR THEM.
They will have to worry if their gamble to get votes in the future as they push an amnesty, is worth losing the support of their base
We have to do something besides talk, and in an election year our votes count. I don't want people shot at the border or to live with the overcrowding and the social, econonomic and ecological problems either.
But if the majortity of this country doesn't get on the backs of the politicians and stay there without letup, nothing will change.
