Stand-Off / Cost Millions

All of us feel bad for the bus driver and his family as well as glad the little boy was rescued and safe. But it looks as if Retired Chief John White and Sheriff Olson are now worried about the cost. Mr White says the cost could be in the Millions.

Now lets see if we got this right.
You got (1) crazy guy who should have been in a nut house years ago? He has a child hostage in a bunker with only one way in and one way out? The Feds are on the scene and have the situation and the bunker surrounded and locked down with highly trained agents?

I guess the Millions in cost to the local law enforcement departments will be needed to pay for all the coffee, jelly doughnuts, and take out pizza the local guys consumed while watching the feds do thier work.

It`s called "Riding The Clock" and it`s just another way to get your buddies overtime pay as well as a way to figure more money into next years budget. Once the FBI. showed up, the only need for local and state police would be traffic control which would only take a handfull of people. Sounds like someone should be looking into just how many local people recieved overtime pay and weather or not it is a justified expense or just running up the clock.
