Excerpt:

"The single-story, 10,000-square-foot building eventually will have

~~~ more than 40 computers,
~~~ new books and CDs (along with the existing collection),

~~~ areas for different age groups,
~~~ and a number of other features,

County Librarian Karen Bosch Cobb said in a presentation to the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

"It is said that we design our buildings, but in the end, our buildings shape us," Bosch Cobb said. "This is especially true of libraries."

The new library will replace a small branch location with poor air conditioning, said Case [County Supervisor, District 4], who represents the area."

~~~
The Library will also have a 60-seat capacity community meeting room, that will be available to ALL in Orange Cove. There will be multi-media capability built into the meeting room, and a kitchen area for lunch meetings.
~~~

The American Legion Post 226, Orange Cove, is providing a Color Guard for the Grand Opening ceremony.

Nov 11 will be Veterans Day ... say "thank you" to a vet when you visit the Library on Saturday, Nov 7.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Sagittarius

You're in a strange mood, Sagittarius. You're feeling impatient and cross, and nothing is quite right. No wonder, with Mercury and Mars retrograde, under a Full Moon lunar eclipse! But is it necessary to be quite so contrary, so determined to do the opposite of what's expected of you? Try to sort out the problem sooner rather than later, then do something energetic and therapeutic so you can burn off your nervous energy. Then you're all set for a great New Year's Eve!
