Girl, 11, testifies against rape defendant

Jury members in the rape trial of Timothy Poling, 40, of Dorset Township, heard sordid details Wednesday from an 11-year-old girl who alleges she was molested by the defendant from 2002 to 2005.

why didn't she say something sooner. This happened 2002-2005, it should have been reported sooner.

For your information, he is a innocent man. No matter what you think biotch. There was no evidence provided in this case. It came down to his word against hers. The accused of any rape of any kind of any age, the so called person has no chance especially when there is no evidence and it comes down to one word against anothers. tim is innocent and now serving a life of hell. there was soooo much more to this than the star beacon told about as usual!!!. tim was a victum of his girlfriends word. this is bullcrap for him to be in for life. i know tim and he was a very good natured person. i think the case should be re opened since of course tim had a public defender who all know cant keep up with what is given them. AINT ANYWAY POSSIBLE THAT HE SHOULD BE IN FOR LIFE!!!!! THAT IS TOTAL BULLSHIT.!!!!!!!!

maybe if you were raped at young age and know how nasty it made you feel the rest of your life you wouldn't

some times the rape victom doesn't know how to get help or that society or most of all their family who is suppose to protect them from these kind of people won't beleive them. so they keep it in and then that opens up a hole knew book of problems.

What the hell does adultery have to do with Tim Poling being a Baby Raping scumbag? And what's an EX-adulterer anyways? How do you UN-cheat on you wife after you've done it already? This case was a lot more that the child's word against Timmy the diddler's - for one thing, an expert on child psychology testified that there was little chance the victim was lying in this case. Her story never varied, no matter who she told it to. Tim, on the other hand, was a third rate liar. The kicker was the little game he played with the court after he was found guilty, where he tried to get a mistrial by saying one of the jurors was working at his house on a day off during deliberations. He later withdrew that motion because it was obvious it wasn't true. I guess he was desperate for another trial, since the first one didn't go so well - LOL.
