I know one thing, the dog that was killed was smarter, more disciplined, more well behaved and more civilized than the kid who shot him, his parents and friends!

He had a criminal record for a reason, and it's the same reason he was killed. He was just another black kid with a gun, and this time justice was served.

There is no need for anyone to insult each other, its just ridiculous. But I don't understand how anyone can condone or jusitify Justin Jackson's behavior, and say it's a white/black "thing" when its a right/wrong thing. I know many people of all races, even beyond black and white who are outraged by the death of Ulf, and the reaction of Jackson's parents- and people of several races who are upset at Jackson's death. What it shows here is juvenile and delinquent behavior and attitude- not race at all. So if everyone can stop calling each other names, and realize that those who don't listen to police officers, and carry around stolen guns while 19 and are already offenders are outlaws- while those who are upset at the death of an innocent animal AND police officer are law abiding citizens: I'd appreciate it. Sorry if that was long winded.

None of yall know what happened for real cause u weren't there so all the remarks and comments are just opinionated...the police tend to feel inferior and one bad cop screws it up for all other cops..protect and serve, not hunt and harass..one bad one makes a bad name for all..black, white, cop, otherwise..some of you folks are just plain iggnorant to whats fact and whats fiction...AMAZING

You're right I wasn't there, but the facts given from the news are just too strong to support that Jackson was just in the wrong. I know there are bad cops, and everything your saying is true, but it again your statement about cops' inferiority complex is discriminatory and also directed toward cops of earlier times (believe me, I've ran into some.) There's good cops, there's bad cops, and I wish there was a branding system but the only way to experience them is through experience. Luckily police hiring practices have changed in the present times to only include those with college experience and the police academy, so the chance of having these abusive personalities is lower (yet not gone completely.)

Back to Jackson, he did have a record- a long one. He did have parents that instead of scolding their child condoned his wrongful actions. This is the most disgusting form of parenting- and this is becoming far too common today. No one can discipline a child anymore (even by just telling them no) without a parent yelling at the disciplinarian. Based on this, our society is likely to crumble.

I try very hard not to be prejudiced. But when reading this hate, I refer back to the word that THEY had special funeral services some time ago to bury. That's all they are so pay no attention to THEM, white or black.

it's about time you dumb _____s start growing up and becoming a responsible and useful part of society. if you want respect you have to earn it. Stop giving your race a bad name because you chose to be ignorant. Stop doing drugs, put down the guns and pick up a book. do something with your lives. Make your parents proud. seriously, how can you live in the ghetto off food stamps and be happy? That cop had every right to release his k9 and when that kid shot him, then all those cops had the justification to shoot at him. I would have done the same thing. I'm tired of stupid people and stupid frames of mind. you people are not victims, you didn't pick cotton, you didn't have masta's and neither did your grandparents. I would be happier if you stayed in your own country but since you are here, know, we don't owe you a damn thing! so start working for what you want and stop all the violence and crime.

You people need to watch the video. The cops MURDERED a 19 year old KID!! It doesn't matter what he had done in the past, he may have been a worthless thug, but he still did not kill the dog!! The police killed the dog when they murdered this kid!! Watch the video, you'll see the kid throw the gun down, dog still charging (unharmed) the police open fire, and hit the dog. You can also see several shots sparking on the door (ricochets) where the police completely MISSED the kid...

Dude, I know some white people are bad but you're completely out of line just ranting about us white folks like we're horrible people. Racists like you seriously need to keep all that rhetoric to yourselves unless you have something nice to say.

That video wasn't near the shooting. It had nothing to do with the shooting. While cops in Pittsburgh may have problems with brutality against blacks, this is not one of them.

A kid pulled a gun out in front of cops and fired at one of them. Even if he didn't shoot at the cops (which he did), pulling a gun out in front of cops in any way except the one they tell you to do is grounds for deadly force.

This kid got what he was looking for.

first of all he didn't shoot the dog and if you were there or read the newspaper you would know that he didn't shoot it because they said it and they didn't have to shoot him in the head

I remember this story very well because it reminds me of my own loss a year later.
My only hope is that the people involved in what amounts to an execution.
