The Mayor Donna Pittman. Is a welfare queen and hates white people. She does not own a house never run a business. Just lives off the tax payers. What experience does she have to tell successful what to do. A certified loser!

She has made a living of living off the Tax payers.

Well if they have the power then they must support the mayor's actions. What else could it be?
That's a good question.

I am represented on Council by Ms. Alexander and Ms. Pachuta. I voted for both of them. Honestly, I cannot imagine them letting anybody running over them or bullying them. I hope that is not the case. I would be extremely disappointed. They would lose my vote.
Jane, all of the council people represent ALL of Doraville. They were elected from your district but they are my council people too. I voted for them as well. Thing is, stupid keeps getting pushed through and it takes FOUR of them to vote it through. I've seen them get it right now and then but still..........

So, you voted for them, you say stupid keeps getting pushed thru..and it takes 4 of them to vote it through...O.K., so which 4 are voting it through...??? And how is that the landowners fault?

The landowners are at fault for many, many things in Doraville. Burlington, one of the stops on the "Cushman Tour" does not make up for that at all. The 4 that usually vote for anything that Halpern throws out? Fleming, Patrick, Bates, sometimes Pachuta, sometimes Alexander. But if there were ever a 3 way tie, we all know how the mayor would vote.

As i see it, the problem with politics is that only politicians want to be in it! If you aren't a scoundrel when you start your career, you are either run over by the scoundrels, or you are quickly forced out or forced to sell out. This is not a place where you can prosper and stand on high moral ground both, and not a job that affords you that liberty. If you try to do the right thing, too many people judge, if you disagree with the wrong crowd, you walk in fear, and if you try to make a difference, the "majority" that is "on the take" of big business or others interest will run over you and shoot you down til you crack or quit! I observed Ms Dean asking questions that I wanted to know the answers to and being ignored, or even worse being attacked by the mayor and other council members! She is treated as an outsider/looked at as if a leper and her motions are not supported. Yet she was the only one that seemed to understand what I as a citizen wanted wanted to know! I think the city council at large has NOT ONE IOTA of understanding or caring for what its constituents care about! They have certainly proven over and over again that they do N o t understand even the most basic challenges that a businessperson in this district faces and create such obstacles to doing business in Doraville that it has darn near become impossible to BE IN business doraville! How much longer can we survive as a community in this bad economy exacerbated by this IGNORANT city council???? I think that it is already too late! Let Doraville be declared a poverty zone, and when Mayor D takes our property for pennies on the dollar, we can all go live under the same bridge together.
I too have sit in council meetings and listened to Trudy. I think she is an intelligent person and asks some good questions. She was also thinking of people outside council when she was campaigning.
I'm sure you will hear a lot of promises in the next year when its campaign season again. Just remember who is promising and don't make the same mistake again. Vote wisely.
