It is coming, and soon.

And, you would never believe who is testifying in their behalf. Turn the screw.

We already know that Stone Mountain councilman Cyril Mungal and Senator Curt Thompson from district 5 are supporting it. Who else? I mean besides Safeway Group, Stuart, Dave, and probably Halpern.
I hear the Palace is having major grease trap stench problems today. If you've ever gone in and looked at their "buffet" it's easy to see why this might have happened.

I saw the food offered on their buffet, the word disgusting does not begin to describe it. I'm anxious to hear who else is supporting this filthy place. I cannot believe any politician in their right mind would support this, but then it's not their city or district is it?

I've seen the "buffet" and I'm not sure how anyone could actually eat any of it. There is no way can stay in business serving that slop, too bad, it's not gonna be a nightclub.

The Georgia Palace wouldn't even be at this stage if city employees had done their jobs. There are 2 sets of plans, one showing seating and the other showing a dance floor that they were told would cause them to be shut down. Why weren't they shut down? Will we ever know? I think sacks of cash are involved in this mess.

When is this "deposition"? Are you talking about the May 7th public hearing?

What? Why don't do you post under the topic that IS about the former mayor's son? I don't want to hear about that sickness every time I look at this site.

Exactly. Doraville needs a Planning and Economic Development professional and an Ethics Commission.

Its the residents who shut this giant nightclub down. May the good Lord protect these wonderful residents in 2013. God knows we need more just like them to stand up for our homes in Doraville.

Yes, it absolutely was the residents who fought this. Sadly though there are some out there giving the city credit for this, not so, not so at all. This would have been allowed to happen. The building inspector signed off on the dance floor, they knew full well that the lighting and sound systems being installed were not for a "restaurant". It is so sad that the people have to watch every move being made and even with that there is no telling what is going on that we don't know about. The environment damaging "waste facility" operated for 9 months in its hidden location before the residents "got wind" of it. Then it only took a little over 2 months to shut it down. Had we not found about it I wonder if it would still be operating right now?
