Dissolve the club and just call everyone your "friend". Problem solved!

I swear that Albemarle County makes stuff so difficult for their citizens. If these people want to four wheel on their own land, they should be able to do and and invite whomever they please.

Really, but ok to stand in street sell d..gs, etc.. Ok for bars to sell liquor, but a group of people causing no harm, can't do that,

Government is out of control

wake up America

If the government can't tax ( aka permit) it, then is illegal to do, own, posses or grow

Interesting that the name of the owner of the property is never mentioned.

They are in the process of writing another rule that forbids the mentioning of their rule writing online.

I would love to see the government crooks defeated in court in these matters.

Stand up against them

actually it's the state that protects the conservation easements
let's see we have a republican guv and gop majority... damn liberal hippies... taking donations

"It's socialized capitalism for the rich"
"Virginia boasts that its land preservation incentives are the "most generous" in the country. Indeed, the state budgets over $100 million a year to pay people not to develop their land."

I can see where the confusion comes from. They're zoned RA. Someone should've told them that it actually stands for Rural Agricultural, not Redneck Amusement park.

This is by no means the biggest abuse of conservation easement.

The whole program is a theft from the taxpayer. It pays people who would not develop their land anyway. It creates artificial land scarcity and works against affordable housing.

And if an "important" enough use is discovered for a property, such as UVa or a necessary road, that easement won't be worth the paper its printed on. But the money will still have been stolen from everyone and given to the rich.

seems that if they want to do this for recreation they would unite and buy their own property. they got caught doing something they don't have permission to do. i bet that any member of this so-called "club" would shoot someones ass for walking across their property. what gives them the right to do it? buy your own place and burn your gasoline as you wish.

It is the damned "I am here now crowd". Been rock crawling and having fun for years, now some retiree from NY or NoVa comes down and has to put a stop to it.

These people move here for the quality of life then move to change it to the same stupid stuff that they just left. We need to stop all of the immigration, we need a big tall electrified fence...just south of Warrenton.

Maybe Amy Vu should investigate the zoning investigator and the original complainant. I hear things are not quite what they seem.

South Fork of the Rivanna River Watershed. Looks like they picked the wrong hollow to tear up. Water source for the city and county. the deed is linked to the article.
