Well think about it. Would you want to bet your life on the combat skills (!) of a teacher like the one in South Park?

"As a law enforcement agency that's really what we focus on, that all children need to be at the same level of safety and security as possible from us," Washington said.

Really...that's what LEAs focus on - kids need to be safe from LEOs??? Perhaps the good man might have meant part of LEAs focus is on keeping kids safe from the nutters out there.

Waste of time and effort. The only answer is to get rid of the problem, the guns, everything else is futile.

The problem isn't the guns (an inanimate object)...it's the looney nutters out there that we have neglected; it's the lack of parenting; it's the absence of morality in society; and according to the quote from above, apparrently law enforcement!

Yup. Getting rid of guns would have saved those 87 lives that were tragically ended at the Happy Land Disco, The Bronx, NY back in 1992.

Think about this for a second, 87 innocent lives would have been saved had the killer not had a gun available to him.

Yey think about it, 87 lives could have been saved if someone was packing heat. But hey go along withthe fantasy that criminals will not find a way to get guns and kill moron

Really? If the gun nut answer is to arm everybody, do you think that if 87 other people all drew their love guns at the same time, then nothing would happen? How would anyone know just who to shoot? And do you really believe that the shooter would just stop, apologize, and leave? 87 people all with guns drawn, and nobody goes off? Don't think so. Somebody in that crowd will either be scared to death and shoot accidentally, or most likely....some other nut job with a gun stiffie will just have to unleash his manliness. More guns = more death.........period.

Typical response from someone incapable of engaging in intelligent debate. Spew the hate, spew the hate, spew the hate. That's all you have. You didn't/couldn't even address the post. All you did was puke a bunch of hateful rambling words out. Please, do us all a favor and either take a grammar lesson or just STFU!

With as many guns that are out there (30k full autos registered in VA alone), that should equate to mass murders all the time according to the gun control crowd...fact is that those doesn't happen all the time as they predicted; fact is that law-abiding citizens do not cause these types of crimes, nor do the guns they own - MURDERS are caused by MURDERERS who have disregarded ALL laws. Adding more laws will not change this fact, and the only two thing that will truely bring the gun crime rates down is: extreme penalty for those that commit crimes with guns; and providing facilities fo rthe mentally ill so that they get the treatment they need, and are kept from posing a danger to society.
