Nothing wrong with Finley. It is curious how many contractors to benefit from move.

If there is nothing wrong with Finly then why is monitored monthly? It is monitored to see if the school is still safe enough to have students in it. Sorry but that is NOT a school I want my child in!

I agree with you NOT OTTS and if one hair on my childs head is harmed because of a catastrophy at that middle school! I will get the best lawyer available and sue Ringgold for every penny it's worth!

Why did they spend hundreds of thousands for professionals to say it is ok only to ignore them and close it anyway. Could have saved the study money. How stupid!!

Good question. Why are they monitoring it? It has been this way forever. Moving less now than it ever did.

my childs safety and the safety of ALL of the children in the district seems like a good reason to me.

I find it hilarious that these people who seem to want this brand new school are ok with their child going to a falling down building. Why just because it is in your back yard? Shame on all of you. That school was falling apart for years while we sink money after money into it. I think some people are never happy. Your children will attend nice schools now. Buildings that do NOT need to be monitored for your childs safety. Stop your crying already. Move, cyber school, or private school your child.

I am nowhere near Finley and I love those old buildings mec and dec but I also know the truth about Finley and I cannot support the closing of a school that is good for political reasons to spend millions. It really is a collosal waste of money that could be used on education. It will be devastating.

You know Finley? You know about the cracks and waves in the floor? The doors that wont shut? The structural damage? How the school needs fixed constantly? I saw on the website all the work needed on DEC and MEC. I am pretty sure ( with the exception of the roof) Finley needs EVERY single thing those other schools do. YET people were not crying over fixing up the school the kids were already in. Finley needs all that work plus the monitoring, which costs money, and the constant money to fix the issues found with said monitoring. PLUS they are closing two buildings and opening two buildings. People just want to be unhappy with this situation. Even though the school board seems to have tried to compromise and they are by making sure no child will ever have to ride on a bus from Finley to the other end of the district. Get over yourselves already, seriously.

Yeah now they will just have to hire 3 or 4 more police officers for DEC so they can keep all the drug dealers and hood rats out!
