Donora banks will soon be gone

DONORA – Citizens Bank will follow PNC's lead by closing its Donora branch in April in a move that will put an end to one-on-one banking within the struggling borough's boundaries.

I grew up in Donora,and my parents had bank accts, how in the world do they think people are

But Donora has two 6-pack stores within a half-block of each other.
Maybe they will more downtown to 8th and Meldon.

It is sad. I can remember back around 1980-1981, there was a McDonalds in town and the corp office shut it down. I never thought I would ever see a McDoanlds go out of business...

Amen. I worked at the foodlnd in 81-82. We had a very busy store with alot of hard working people(patrons) that had lost jobs. It was very
apparent way back then there would be no recovery. The
young people really have no coice but to move on. Too bad alot
of good family's affected.
