Be careful with the private schools around here i went to pilgrims rest and victory christian in fairdealing. I would never send my child to a private "christian school" there are to many things about real life you will not learn being put in these places.Just my opinion

My children attended Doniphan Public Schools and also attended West Point for a couple of years. There were several grades in Doniphan that I was concerned about, so I took them out. They thrived at West Point and did not fall behind. They returned to public schools and acheived high test scores. There are good things to be said about both.

Amazing School, Great Teachers, And not only do they teach our children about Jesus Christ. But they also take alot of pride in watching the children there thrive academically.I Couldn't say enough positive things about them. But I do know personally, because my children are a testiment every day. Above all. Pray and seek the will of God for your-self. That way you can never regret your decisions. TRUST IN GOD ALWAYS.......GOD BLESS!

I have never heard one bad thing about the school. There could always be a bad apple in a basket. They try to be good people there. Ask the will of god in your life. It sure makes a difference.

I don't personally know much about West Point... I had some friends who attended the school growing up, and they turned out jsut fine!

However, I am very familiar with the school, staff, and students at the Springhill School of Hope and would recommend it to any family interested in a public school alternative.

The Springhill School of Hope is located on BB Highway in Fairdealing and is a part of the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church.

as long as you are RICH and with the IN CROWD you will do alright there. But you put your child in there and the "head master" don't like you or your family then your child and possibly you will be DEGRADED and talked about like you are dirty every chance that presents itself. My nephew went there and He was treated like DIRT by all the butt kissers and because he wanted to learn and didn't fit in with that "SNOBBY IN CROWD" my brother had to remove him from school because they treated him so badly. The head master talked DOWN to my nephew and brother and made them feel like crap when my brother decided to pull my nephew out of WEST POINT CHRISTIAN ACADEMY. If you want to keep your child out of public school then I suggest that you HOME SCHOOL.
A BECCA has a wonderful christain based program that cost just as much as this SO CALLED CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

There could always be a problem with any school., but use your own inner wisdom that god has given you. Pray, talk to him daily.

This is my child's second year at West Point Christian Academy. Removing him from the public school environment was the BEST decision I ever made. With the positive support and caring attitude of the teachers at WPCA, he is working to get caught up academically. He is also developing more confidence in himself and his abilities. He actually likes school again and finally feels as though he belongs. I am not not rich or snobby. I only want what is best for my son, and Doniphan public school failed him miserably. I am so thankful for Brother Ethan McGonigal all the teachers at West Point.

My wife home schools our children with wonderful results. The program we use is called Switched on School House. Along with several add ons from the Holy Bible, A Becka and also from Rod and Staff. The internet can assest you with the needed information on all of these teaching instruments.

Our children are very active in public activities, such as summer sports at the city park, church and its youth functions, the county fair, and hunting and fishing with friends and family. Our children are very happy with this one on one teaching atmosphere and aren't one bit out of place in a group setting.
I pray God helps you with the decisions for you and your children. I can tell by your post that your childs education is of the upmost importance to you.

FYI... I am not a religious fanatic by any means; only a concerned parent. I also used to believe as you do. It is possible to change your opinions once you experience what we have. I am not trying to shield my child from the "real world". I only want him to get the education that he needs and deserves. He was NOT getting that at public school. I also see nothing wrong with home schooling if you are in a position to do that with your children. Unfortunately working parents do not have that option.

My son attends West Point, and it is the best decision I have ever made. Doniphan public school is horrible and people sending their children there need to re-think that decision.I would rather spend the extra money for private school. Private school may "shelter" children, but I would rather have my child sheltered than have no education. My son LOVES West Point and the staff there because they are kind people. I do not attend church there, and my son has never been judged or looked down on because of it.

I have friends who attended West Point School, who recieved top notch education, and well over half of the students who graduate from there go on to lead successful lives with great jobs and wonderful familes. I recommened it to anyone, i wish i could have attended school there. Ethan McGonigal pushes his students hard, and it is obvious by the success rate that comes from there
