Worked for this Co. for 14 and a half yrs. They owe me alot of overtime pay. They paid overtime under the table but it was just straight time. Didn't except that kept records of all my overtime. Was laid off in 2009 took my records to them and they refuse to pay me. Resigned Dec. 2011 and they still refuse to pay me for the work I did. This is wrong and that is not all that goes on at that Co.

Sounds typical of an employer in ripley county I worked in doniphan for a few years in a job where I had payed for alot of training and had many certifications and was only payed 10 dollars an hour when people in poplar bluff doing the same job maybe with less responsibility were making 60000 per year so I went to poplar bluff as soon as I could but I heard a successful doniphan business man say one time that the way to make money in this town was to keep your employees so poor they couldn't afford to leave what you need to do is skip the lawyers and all the junk that will ultimately cost you more than you will ever get from these people and go for the throat contact the IRS they missed out on tax revenue that your former employer should have payed you as the employee were completely in the dark all you knew is you were given cash right and you were probably in fear of losing your job maybe even said this isn't right keeping uncle Sam in the dark but were bullied into taking it and keeping quiet a few overtime hours that were just payed under the radar probably isn't that big of a violation but it may stir enough to have them audited if you want to bring karma to this town you can't hit these corrupt business owners in the heart it's a very small target you have to hit them in the wallet and bring the Feds down on their little world

No I agree NO-ONE did force that person to work there BUT, in this little town with a family to feed and bills to pay NO-ONE can afford to quit a job either especially if that said job is putting food in your kids mouth. Believe me I know I have been doing in home health for many yrs now and I am still "stuck" because that measly 8.00 an hour makes sure my kids aren't hungry. No pay raise, No overtime pay and No benefits. So BEFORE you go throwing accusations maybe you should shut up and listen, because their is more to life then an angry person just wanting to vent. And to linesurveyor I would do exactly what former resident has said the people in this town are being kept down.

Wow noname that was an incredibly intelligent post and guest I have a feeling that you may be like my husbands boss. You are probably making a living not off the sweat of your own back but off the sweat of others.

it was a statement of how intelligent yal sound, hes got mommy on here wiping his ass for him, yal went from reed oil co. to oil co. cause your page was filling up with more intelligent comment than yal have posted by far, maybe if youd get on with your life and stop bitching and crying and wiping your husband ass, these intelligent people would leave you alone, if not then sit back and post your ignorant shit and listen to everybody put you down and tell the truth about you, like you think you are mr. reed..and one more thing, im way more of a man than rodger is and this man has worked his ass of more than you know of me, im not lazy like your cry baby husband, i pay my bills and feed my kids, and dont run around drunk all the time, so dont get me started on sweat, my shit runs clean and true...

I take it that you never got training or certification in the use of a period or a comma? Wow! That was extremely difficult to read. I am guessing you were overpaid at $10 per hour. And I am also guessing that you and hubby are the kind of employees no employer wants.

This is topix, I don't think people expect comma,s or periods but after all the years my husband my husband worked there I would expect that Dwight learned to spell my husbands first name right

ok, if you had an employee that left almost everyday, an hour early to lock up tanks, thats only 3 blocks away, goes home, drinks him a lil shot, or picks up his wife in a commercial vehicle,to run a load, thats only insured for the employees, not mommy, and take a advantage of an 80 year old man and still keep you hired on knowing your pulling all this shit, now on here bad mouthing him saying he didnt pay you what you deserved!!! you did your personal buisness on company time, you deliver to good ole boys of ripley co. rude as hell, pulling off drives when they ask, please dont do that..all your doing is making both you and mommy look like idiotts..if i had a propane company, you would be the first person that i WOULD NOT hire..mr. reed did his part to keep money in your pocket, that you earned..youve come on here admitting YOU put red fuel where it didnt belong, and we DO NOT under any circumstances, put red fuel in on road trucks and you knew better also, you found the right place to cause problems on here, if you can think of anything else, you have plenty of attention...

Yes my husband did put red fuel into tanks that were not supposed to receive it, he also reported to the proper authorities. Yes my husband with the permission of Darrell did transport me a time or two. And yes My husband personally used his own vehicle to go down and lock up the tanks after hours.

Haven't been here since 10 Feb. said all I wanted to say. Dwight Reed came to me July 97 and ask me to drive for him. Was told the hrs were mon-fri 8-5 amd sat 8-12 was paid straight time 44 hrs any overtime after that was paid under the table. That went on til 2004 when they quit working on sat's. Any overtime from then was just straight time under the table. Reed Oil was investigated in 2010 about the red fuel issue. During the investigation why was the office clerk calling customers to alert them not to come in to get fuel. Some had already been caught and fined. Ask the owner of Chicken on the Run.

No I do have a clue, my husband was forced to break the law to make a living there every day. He reported to the best of his abilities without getting fired for his concerns. You may call my husband a pussy but I quite think he is a man for standing up for what is right

Wonder why Guest got so freaked out about the wife exercising her freedom of speech? Obviously not an innocent bystander.
The way ppl talk to each other on here makes me embarrassed to be from the same town :(
