What is he best diet that you know of. I have tried several different ones, but can't seem to stay on any. Do you have any suggestions?

I've lost 20+ pounds since mid-March.

Here's what I've done:

I eat a big bowl of oatmeal for breakfast, with dried fruit. Sometimes it's raisens, sometimes it's diced mixed fruit. I also have 12 oz of V8 and coffee. In the past I haven't wanted breakfast, so just had coffee. Oatmeal really fills me up.

I have lunch, which might be something from the menu at MiCasa, or might be a 6" subway BMT, or it might be a LOT of fresh veggies cut up and ranch dressing as 'dip', or it might just be a couple of Special K protein drinks.

I usually have a HUGE chopped salad for dinner with ranch dressing. For me a chopped salad is cauliflower, green pepper, onions, tomatoes, sunflower seeds, dried fruit, very few greens. If I've had subway or MiCasa I'm more likely to do a salad. If it was raw veggies or Special K drinks I have 'normal' dinner, like steak and baked sweet potato (but not white potato with sour cream and butter)

If I want dessert I have a banana and a big spoonful of peanut butter.

I am also walking a couple miles/day.

It has been pretty painless, after the first couple of weeks when all I could think about was Big Mac and mac and cheese and oreos etc etc.

Cut out refined anything. Flour sugar sodas and such. Eat clean healthy meats cheeses green veggies nuts fibrous fruits. Get off your ass and exercise. There is no such thing as a miracle diet that is good for you and sheds tons of pounds without the risk of gaining it all back quickly. Look at the paleo diet. It isn't a diet but a way of eating. Tons of food options. Carbs sugars and refined grains is what packs the most pounds
