You need to check the news. This just happened in New York and Colorado. Looks like Minnesota and Washington has the votes as well. Obama is threatening to use executive order if Congress doesn't pass a semi-auto and guns holding more than 10 rounds ban.
By the way, the law Obama supports would ban 60% of the gun currently manufactured today. Make no mistake about it, they are planning to ban guns.

I am tired of all you doomsayers. Get a life! Yes, the government can come and take you away. Any government at any time in any culture or continent. All governments are given a monopoly on violence and the use of force. Its what they are supposed to do for the benefit of society. One just hopes that the society puts enough roadblocks and safeguards in place to prevent the worst abuses. American government is no different. They interned the Japanese, they persecuted the Mormons in the 1800's and committed genocide on the Indians, so, yes, it can happen here. But we do have the courts to defend us.
