While I think your attitude is exactly what is wrong with this town, this world, I appreciate your honesty. That is the true reason most, not all, are voting no.

Blame Game, there is no guarentee that the school board will not re-hire Sandlin again next year. Everyone, please vote NO on Tuesday!!!

Well why wouldn't anyone! Vote Yes! When No is the logical reasoning and the yes's are in a disillusioned state of mind with illogical thinking.

Leadership leans toward a big flat out NO!

In a rapidly vanishing community with the realists knowing these things they will vote NO however the idealist will be trying a yes on for size without no logic reasoning.

I don't guess I said that anywhere in my post did I? I'm just kind of big on people actually telling the truth as opposed to lies (like a couple people on here). This I happen to agree with you on so that's why I'm voting for 2 people who I think would never keep Sandlin there.

Let me sort out something for several of you. The board DID NOT EXTEND Sandlin's contract as he had requested. He presently has a two-year contract that runs through 2010-2011 school year. It was for the present school year and next year. Unless some of the present board changes their mind or if the former board member gets on and has enough votes to get him back, he will not be employed at Doniphan R-1 after that. He, himself, resigned his 5/6th grade coaching duties. Now as far as board members who are running, one was on the board before and backed Sandlin in everything he did. Not judging, just trying to answer some questions truthfully.

To Blame game

I have heard from you that you are all about telling the truth on here so I thought I would let you know I just received a call from my friend Mr Simpson and he would like me to thank you for the rude nasty phone calls he has received since you said he was me on here...He especially wants to thank you for whoever told his grand daughter on the phone he was a $%#%%##% and should die.......I know not all the yes voters are not this nasty or into calling people names...But sure seems like some are......So just wanted to say thank for him and his family...

I don't think you should blame someone on these post for this happening. Letter to the editor in last weeks paper was signed just this: R1 taxpayer, Stan Simpson. However, the nasty phone calls are totally uncalled for. The one thing that I have enjoyed about these posts on topix is that you really get a chance to debate both sides. It is sometimes not just right or wrong...just a difference of opinion. Some posts have been down right lies and entertaining to read, but anyone that is really concerned has done their research and when they go to the polls on Tuesday, will cast a vote that they can live with, weather it is yes or no.

Whats that saying "with friends like you who needs enemy's" You have half the post on these threads, then you want to blame someone else for MR. Simpson[who signed his name in the paper] for getting a rude call. I don't think very many people would let this happen to a "friend". If you want to see who caused Mr. Simpson his trouble, why don't you look in the mirror. Just because Blame Game has caught you several times spreading mis-information you are trying to put the blame on her.

That is hilarious! Tell you what, give "your friend" Stan this message from me:
I am not the only one on this site who thinks you and he are one. Other posters have said it too. If you are not the same person, then you or he one use the other's exact phrases and dialect.

If your buddy Stan doesn't want his name assosciated with voting no on this bond, you should tell him it probably wasn't his brightest idea to write a letter to the editor and signing it "R1 Taxpayer Stan Simpson" and then buying an ad in last weeks newspaper telling people to vote no, again signing his name: Stan Simpson. If you believe in something enough to pay money and sign your name in a newspaper not once but twice, good for you. That is to be admired. However blaming myself and anyone else for arguing with Stan's politics when he put his own name in the arena is ridiculous!

You'll make sure and get him this message right? Thanks so much.

For your information and this is the truth we are not the same person If you read as well as you state I have posted on here we have a group in our neighborhood have meetings and none of us believe in voting for your side on this issue..However since you started calling me Stan Simpson he has started getting some pretty nasty phone calls. The last day or so... I will definitely tell him tonight that because he put adds in the paper voicing his views on this matter you think it is ok for him and his grand children to receive these types of calls. He deserves it for stating his opinion in the paper...And thanks to you they assume he and I are the same person.. wonder but do not know what Mister Hoefer is going through...Should it then be ok for the no voters to start calling all the yes voters and call them names...But I am sure none of this has anything to do with what you posted... If people on here do not like what I say and I have been told on here they wish I would die before I can vote and they hope old people on here should not be breathing the air it's for their children and that they hope we should get so broke paying this tax for a new building we have to eat dirt to survive...And most of the yes voters say the no voters are negative...Give me a break..You posted on here I was Stan Simpson or at least called me Stan Simpson and that my dear was not true...

Agreed! I must say I look forward to the daily debate with Navigator. We agree on almost nothing, well really just the route you take to get there, but I respect his opinion. Posting on here has caused me personally to do far more research on this subject then I ever would have. I'm proud to say I know quite a bit about taxes now! I have learned alot by the opposing view's side and share a lot of their concerns. I agree with many things they've said.(Lets keep that between me and you though!) The truth is that we all should put this much time and effort into every election and listen to both sides' arguments.

I am sorry people are getting phone calls. Our political system is just too negatively charged right now. When our own lawmakers in Jefferson City have to be pulled apart, things are not right. So if I do have this much pull and influence over the people in this community then I should say this: do not call or threaten anyone who doesn't share your views. It's pathetic if you do not tolerate others beliefs. You should move to a country where individualism and opinions are not allowed.

And furthermore, anyone who would take anything out on a child who has done nothing but share a bloodline with a person you disagree with, should get their ass kicked.
