thats the last thing a community needs right now. unemployment on a national level over 10% and more people losing jobs on a local level.

i hope everyone is exercising there right to vote in elections. if we don't get people in office who care for the common folk we are doomed. career politicans need to find another means to support themselves. we need common sense people running the goverment today, tommorrow, and into the future.

It was a sad sight this morning. Not a car in the lot. Things are changing, and not for the better.

hey, tune in to FOX news and learn about politics then you will know. we are in a "recession" right now "because" the politicians wanted everybody to live in a house they couldn't afford and the bubble bursted. it had a trickle down effect which is why cramer is closing because people are unemployed and can't afford new or used vehicles. Get it????? It is a little more indepth than this but FOX can educate you.

your local politicans can cause "your" property taxes to increase, that is, if you own anything because most spend like there is no tomorrow. so to raise funds to pay for the essentials of the general public (fire protection, police protection, water, sewer, salaries) they "collect" taxes via the citizens. Get it???? and i would imagine cramer payed a chunk when it comes to taxes.

Spend a week or two with Hannity, Beck, and O'Reily. Its not hard at all to comprehend. Good luck.

Oh. I guess bad management is the politicians fault. Just like Obama is blaming President Bush for all his problems. Got to blame somebody. I had a flat tire yesterday and it is the goverments fault.

The levees failing and the flood WAS the government's fault. Your flat tire was probably on your bicycle because you couldn't afford gas.

you are really off the chain. no, your flat tire is not the govt.'s fault. however, the recession we are in is the govt.'s fault whether caused by the bush administration, obammy administration, or both. the free market does not need govt. intervention to function for the good of the people.
perhaps you are one of those looking for all the govt. handouts. if you are, i will not waste anymore of your time or mine trying to explain why the cramer closing is a result of the recession and politics.
the mailbox would be your only priority in life.

Yall are all wrong! This is what I was told by someone that worked at Cramer.....Nissan Corp. came in and told them they would have to build a separate repair shop to work on Nissan vehicles, plus GM (now Government Motors) also placed demands on them that they felt was more costly than what it was worth to implement. Bill Cramer Motors still exists, they just closed this dealership and moved the inventory to other dealerships. Doesnt negate the fact that it is a big blow to this city economically. I agree with about everything flat head said, although I think patriot was just being facetious.

unemployment in donalsonville but how come is it that the illegal mexicans seem to all have a job like the ones at clover leaf and johnsons produce. one of the strains on our goverment is all the illegal mexicans working in jobs and paying no taxes and on any kind of goverment assistance that they can get.

the reason the illegal mexicans are working is because none of the locals will do the jobs that they are doing. how many dvillians do you know that will get up at 4 or 5 a.m. and be in the fields picking tomatoes or corn until sundown for minimum wage? if it wasn't for them the crops would rot in the fields. i agree that illegals are a strain on our social structure because they get free medical care and the majority don't pay taxes. however, they provide needed labor that locals absolutely will not do. so how do you propose for the farmers to get the crops out of the fields and to market? its a no win situation when it comes to them working the fields. most americans just will not do that kind of work.

They are also getting mainstream jobs. The jobs you want. They work harder, longer, and complain less than than you. A local business replaced two american workers with one mexican, and says his productivity went up. They are grateful for the jobs you gripe about. They appreciate the fact that they have a job. They dont complain as much as you do. Many american workers dont seem to realize that they need to make the company enough money to pay their check. They do not have the best interst of the company in mind. They are not loyal. They often talk adversly about the company instead of standing up for it. They steal time and sometimes money and goods from the company they work for. If any of this describes you, dont complain when a mexican or someother hard working person gets your job. Be thankful for the job you have. It may be better than you think, and you could loose it anyday.

The levees were built so new orleans which was built in a hole by a river wouldn't get flooded. now who in their right mind would build a city in a hole 100 feet below sea level. not the federal guvmint. the city of new orleans guvmint.

LOL Crooks? That is called competition. Why would you call someone a crook who is charging more for an item that you found somewhere else cheaper. You did what you were suppose to do, you shopped around. And if you had looked a little further away you may have saved another $2 grand. Would that have made the place in Bainbridge a bunch of crooks too? If you had been watching the news you would see that they are shutting dealerships down all over the country. They didn't go belly up from a bunch of crooks. It was from the economy. Chill out. You got your truck and saved some money. Be Happy !
