I'm going to stir some shit here because that's apparently what this forum is for.

Who else thinks that new sign is a godawful mess of a design? A giant spinning picture of barely-discernible burnt meat with two tiny words on top? That's the best they could come up with?

And while I'm at it, Hog Wild, what's with that jackass driving around in a golf cart all day under the guise of a 'shuttle'? Are the patrons so disastrously gluttonous that they can't walk 50 feet from the car to the building? I saw the guy driving on 150th street the other day in that infernal contraption. He's gonna get his warranty voided by a real car one day if he keeps up this "This is technically a vehicle so I can be on real streets!" bullshit.

Disagree with me Midlo. You know you want to.

The sign is bad we live near it and had quite a good laugh when it went up it looks cheap. My company drove by it and said what's with the rotating steak. And the shuttle....I don't know seems Hog Wild is excused for a few violations don't know what's up with that.

What violations are you talking about? Your company drove by it, in what a LITTLE YELLOW SCHOOL BUS?

a better idea for the sign would have been the standing pig with fork & knife... Or anything else... Can only agree with cart for handicapped due to lack of parking

There's plenty of parking, it's just inconvenient because it's in the back. That dude isn't only toting handicapped or elderly customers though. I think the owner is using the cart as gimmick. I just think it's a stupid, unnecessary liability. What if someone falls out of that thing or gets their foot run over?

How many other greasy spoon dive barbecue joints have shuttles from the parking lot to the door? Do you think people say "That place with the huge spinning piece of burnt meat is right up my alley, but do you think they have a makeshift shuttle from the parking lot to the door so I don't have to make the long and arduous 50-yard journey through a lower-middle-class suburban parking lot on foot?" ?

Come on.

I love HOG WILD...However, you know they spent tons of cash on that terrible sign...you know the sales guy talked them into it...NEW TECHNOLOGY is NOT always the magic cure...you can't tell what the big brown object is, they should ran with the pink cartoon pig...I personally won't have put up that sign & DEMANDED a refund

Here we are in the mists of an economic meltdown and on the verge of World War 3 and all you people can do is gripe about a dang sign at a restaurant? You folks in Midlothian worry about the stupidest stuff. I understand that most of you are uneducated, so I guess it makes sense.

can you stop world war 3. If so could you run for pres. All I said it looks like a big spinning turd.
Nothing about education. If you don`t live in Midlo try going to your own topix page. At the end of the world it will still look like a spinning turd.

The sign is a bit questionable (we spend more time trying to identify what it is than watching the road sometimes) BUT it's their sign. If it brings in more business then great. If it doesn't...well that is THEIR problem. Signage is a marketing issue and if they do a poor job marketing their product then shame on them.

If you love their product but won't come in due to the sign, well that TOO is a choice.

The sign may be bad, but it's not so bad as some of you are making it out to be. It doesn't look good, and you do have to stare at it for a second to ask yourself is it really a pork chop....However, if that stops you from eating there then you probably never liked them that much to begin with.

I personally don't understand the new fountain either. It's a total departure from the rest of the decor with its hardscaping, and it takes up valuable square footage. On the other hand, I like the sounds of a fountain and appreciate they are trying to better their place of business. I also like there's an actual place to stand in line now without blocking the door all the time.

We should just be happy they are doing well enough to stay open and also to contribute to the town. They are very giving and do a great job of working with the village.
