I recently found out that the natural progression of the Democratic party of Cook County has plans. The Honorable Bob Rita is currently being considered for a high level adviser for Governor Quinn. At the same time they would prefer he take charge of the Illinois Tollway. His understanding of Union contracts, and immense knowledge of construction projects, certainly puts him ahead of the pack.
And you make all of these statements from Alabama? Really? You are amazing. We who reside in tha immediate areas see closed bridges and experience massive unmet needs.

That is why she is going to win. Bob Rita voting record, and his neglect of the Calumet Township, the 28th district says it all./

What are you talking about? Her la familia on the payroll? Each and every family member of Bob Rita is on the County or State payroll. This is a fact. This is a entitlement. Bob would be a very effective cabinet member to Governor Pat Quinn. Vote Democratic

We can count on Mother and Grand Mother Vierya, to represent us the people, not just the SPEAKER.

If all the hispanics were eligible to vote she could win. I wonder if Rita is for legalization of the illegals? Legalization would cost him his job. How ironic.

We recognize that staying in office staying in power animates much of governance in Springfield. But the rest of us, nearly 13 million strong, need the members of the Illinois General Assembly to set aside that preoccupation and address four important issues in this last scheduled week of their spring session.

Actually it's a winter-spring session, a part-time job with many vacations and occasional slow-mo legislating. Now the lawmakers face a Friday deadline having accomplished next to nothing this year.

Lawmakers, owing to unfortunate decisions made by you or, if you're new to the gig, your predecessors state government has that seemingly perpetual $200 billion in debts and unfunded obligations. Plus a bad business climate, high unemployment, mounds of unpaid bills. Legislative fixes? You've been stalling.

So for lack of solutions since you convened in January, do your jobs now:

Not so fast on 'marriage equality'

"Marriage equality still right for Illinois" hold it, not so fast.

For almost 2,000 years, the Catholic church has declared marriage to be a holy sacrament between a man and a woman. In the eyes of the church, there is no such thing as a marriage between two females or between two males. No holy sacrament.

In recent years, the joining of two people of the same sex has been called a civil union. But gays aren't happy with this they want their union to be called a marriage.

A marriage between a man and a woman is not the same as a civil union between gays. The two states are not equatable. They aren't even similar. They are totally different.

One is a marriage instituted by Christ; the other is a civil union instituted by the state. The church recognizes Christ to be the second person of the Holy Trinity. The state is nothing more than a political entity.

We say she can. All she has to do, is unite the Female vote. At first glance, some voters might think she has no qualifications. But in reality, she is more qualified than Bobby Rita. The Rauner Campaign, could help sweep her to victory.

This is why you people on here are no threat to the administration. The election was this past Tuesday. Bob Rita was unopposed, he is in for another 2 years. 85% did not vote,

A poll has been taken, the results show that the majority of 28th district residents do not like Bobby Rita. He has spent to much time outside the district. The 28th has been terribly neglected. He and his triple dipping, while many residents in his district have no job, and live in poverty.
The Truth is, Alderman Vierya could be a great State Rep for the 28th District. The district is very tired of Bobby Rita, and his desire to expand the Gaming licenses in Illinois. "Viva Vierya"
