I can't beleive I haven't seen a plow down the streets. Guess the safety of the residents isnt' important anymore or did just the road in front of the mayors house get plowed like all mayors before her
So if we slide through an intersection, or our streets get in an accident we can blame the village and have them pay the bills.
No Christmas lights on the street poles and now streets not plowed what will be next?.

They are trying to keep main roads open. Look at every town and state and county roads they all suck. Leave public works alone I'm sure while your sleeping nice and warm tonight all villages will be out trying to clear roads but its kind of hard when snow is falling 1 to 2 inches an hour

I'm sure we can't afford double time and a half for holiday pay. Hopefully they will be out after midnight.

No they all dont suck. Been out the last 2 days and our streets are the worse if the towns i was in. The village ddoesn't do the town main roads, the county or state do them. They will be warm inside their trucks they do have heat,

Speaking of our public works , just curious if we furnish gas in their trucks. I saw a public works truck , the same guy on 57 near Frankfort il. on a Sunday then I saw him with another occupant grocery shopping .Just don't think it's right if we're putting gas in the white pickup hes using.

The streets are fine. This is just more of the political "let's try to make the mayor look bad" crap. Don't fall for it.

we haven't had Christmas light on poles for years . The red banners we have been using are wore out. Have one hanging in my garage, found in in the street.

Get over the fact that there were no Christmas decorations. Christmas is over with. As far as the streets, they are trying to keep up. Don't think they are then jump in a truck and start plowing. You can't always live lollipops and roses.

With the high taxes and fees we pay, I think we are entitled to basic service's.

My brother in law called the village this morning and asked why there were no snow plows and they said per the mayor no one was getting paid overtime so they had 8 hours to plow and maintain everything! What a joke. And yes the streets suck. I don't know where in Midlothian you are driving if you say they are fine.

So according to the mayor "not paying overtime" is more important than people's safety and lives. How nice that we have a mayor that is for the people.

It would just be nice if they played fair. They shouldn't ticket cars parked on the street if they are not plowing.
