That is ridiculous and not just because you should have used the word "anyone" ,lol chica estoy jugando contigo pero dudo que era uno del "grupo".
Next time you post , look at how many people are reading what we post without saying a word y cuanta gente en el foro de PR tienen un problema con los puertorriqueñios que no son de PR , tambien TODOS los otros hispanos son igual ,mira lo que le paso a la mama de nebuliz ,eso pasa todo los dias aqui en miami y por eso siempre digo que los unicos que cuentan son la familia (eso es el lo que dicen los italianos de queens).
You're right Gitano, also don't correct me when you stay "murdering" Nubeluz's name it's not Nebuliz Lmao I'm also "jugando." I did overlooked the lurkers that are probably reading everything. Anyways don't pay attention to the silly nut and clueless icons I've gotten them several times LOL and I got a lemon in one of my comments which means "off topic" I was only answering a question :( all jokes aside check your pm I hit you up last night.

Girly, you remind me so much of me, sweet but a beast when pressed. Mira es mejor que yo no me entere quien es. I do not want to show that side of me here no one and I mean no one will like me if I get nasty, s*** I don't even like myself when I get to that level. Try to calm down Nube, because I'm going to start going ham if someone says something to you. We are the only two females here so I wil definitely have your back although, I know you don't need it, you obviously can handle your own.

You girls are tough. You don't let nobody mess with you. I like that.

But, more importantly. You are both fair posters an judge each poster accordingly. And really measure your words. That shows maturity.

Nube, it was messed up thank God I'm not a teenage girl with a low self esteem, because that bullying type of comment its one of the reasons young girls have commited suicide and have little to no self esteem, I'm a grown woman so I know how to dismiss it in terms of not letting it affecting my view on myself. I do agree that those individuals need to be confronted. Those are bully words and only God knows if that troll targets younger girls I'm not cool with that one bit.

There are always people here besides the usual people "37 Users are viewing the Puerto Rico Forum right now " but it can be anyone and simply someone "passing through".

Who's this "we" you keep posting about?

You and your multiple cyber personalities?

You can't even hold one honest opinion about anything (without contradicting yourself, later), much less a coherent cyber personality.

A new law in California, SB1411, makes it a crime to create a fake online profile to harm someone. The San Francisco Chronicle covers the new law HERE. This law addresses the rather understood situation where someone makes up a fake Facebook or MySpace account and harms someone through defamation, harassment or cyber bullying.

However, the fact that nobody has to register with Topix to comment means that Topix can be used to skirt the law. You don't have to 'fake it' with Topix. You can legally hide. This creates two interesting issues:

1) Does this law create an incentive for companies to drop registration altogether. After all, the law basically says that if you don't have to identify yourself anyway, you can harm people online.

2) Since Topix does not require registration, is it possible that judges might interpret the law this way: Anonymous comments are all fake. In other words, either you identify yourself, or you are fake. In this way, all anonymous posts which harm, will be interpreted as fake and will be covered by the law.

ALL posters should be registered and a much more effective and through vetting and post monitoring process should be put in place (I believe it will eventually will happen. But, not anytime soon)

Why can't everyone register?. Why the neeed for anonymity?.

Topix only has a team of about 8 people.

It is huge. But, they run it like a mom and pop.

It thrives on hate. I made an excellent thread on this a couple of weeks back.

By not requiring registration, someone can go in and post multiple times constantly changing their user name or hiding behing a proxy and make it look like multiple people are posting. By requiring registration, it takes a lot more effort to continue changing email addresses. With all that has come out about cyberbullying and the dangers, the responsible thing to do would be require registration and have a moderator for every forum. You have a much cleaner better site and as long as people aren’t attacking one another and talking about real issues (news stories, etc) Topix could be a wonderful company. They have chosen evil over business ethics and that is too bad. How would anyone feel if they lost a child or their job due to lies told on a cyberbullying site? If Topix is as strong as they claim to be, they would still have plenty of users of their site and possibly bring back people who actually want to read news and not look at a cyberbullying site and let’s make no bones about it, that is largely what Topix has become.

Excellent points made.

I'm going to save this for future reference.

Thanks.

Not entirely everywhere. I think Puerto Rico should become a U.S. state, and be able to reap some of the benefits of statehood.

Very true, indeed but safety in a forum or FB is never guaranteed. I've seen more people affected by cyber bullying on FB and YouTube where you are required to register. I have to agree it will make a difference if all people are required to register. In my opinion no social networks are safe at all, especially now times are too bad anyone can make fake accounts it's too easy. Smartphones are also extremely easy to hack years ago one of my phones (I have two) was hacked the phone company's representative told me that I had a hacker and I need to get rid of the phone. There's apps people can actually download to get all your information. It is not safe at all. I take my risk but I wonder if it's worth it.

The US has persecuted pro independence island Puerto Ricans.

Independence is absolutely not an option, thanks to US efforts (since 1898).

Washington has actually narrowed our choices to only two, the current colony and statehood.
